We have a king tower room at Luxor reserved for 5 nights for $344.96--includes resort fee. Just got an offer for a Hollywood Hip room-king at Planet Hollywood for 357.28--includes resort fee. We have stayed in a room in Luxor tower before and it was just fine. Just wondering how the rooms compare for anyone who has stayed in both. I know all the stuff about where the hotels are, that PH is for the younger scene, etc. Just talking the difference in rooms. Is one much nicer than the other, about the same???
    Thanks!

The PH Hollywood Hip room is somewhat small, but what I don't like about it is the single small window. I love the Vista Room which has almost floor to ceiling windows and a view of the Bellagio fountain and the Eiffel Tower or the pool and Cosmopolitan.

It's been a while since I stayed at Luxor, but I stayed in one of the pyramid rooms where the window spanned across the room (not floor to ceiling), of course at a slant. I think it just depends on which location you'd rather stay at.

From my experience of the two room types:
Linens and Towels are nicer at Pho
The windows are larger at Luxor
Both have separate Tub and Shower (Pho's has a bit nicer tub)
The rooms are the same size

Room-wise I think they are about the same. What sets them apart is the location, dining options, and if you prefer Mlife or TR.

Having stayed at both I'd pick PH. I didn't dig on the Luxor at all. To me the only edge Luxor has on PH is the pool.
