    My Trip Report

Annual trip with my wife. This year we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary. We got married in Vegas in May 04.

This trip was May 31 - June 5. Bellagio the last 4 nights at discount mailer rate plus $50 F&B. Used a myvegas comp for the first night at Monte Carlo since we flew in late on a Saturday and didn't want to pay Saturday rate for a few hours.

Two weeks before trip I hit for $1000 on a $10 scratch ticket. Nice addition to our Vegas bankroll. I went to my first casino in AC when I was 14. I'm 43 now. That was the first gambling tax form I've had to fill out.

Had 3 buffet comps from myvegas. Had lots of giftcards for 3 other meals. Basically most of our meals were paid for already.

Flight uneventful out of Philly. Rental from Budget. Upgrade to SUV for small fee.

Drove to Monte Carlo. Wow. Being exhausted and driving into that section of the strip with all the video boards and lights can be adventurous. Luckily found the valet lane.

We quickly checked in to a standard room. I should have upgraded for the $25 offer to a suite MC sent me a month ago. The MC room was very generic, like a Motel 8 or similar. Cheap linens on an uncomfortable bed.
The casino had mostly a young crowd looking for a party. Well, we were exhaused. Grabbed a crappy quick meal from food court, played a few slots and went to bed.

I was up early. After showering, I went downstairs to play a bit while the wife got showered, as I usually do. I wanted to play small since our main trip started later in the day at the Bellagio. I found some cheap slots - Quick Hits - $1.50 max spin. They were a bank of 6 machines. Took my time just wasting time waiting for wife. A waitress came by and I ordered a much needed diet Coke (they are my coffee). $5 on a machine, $10 on the next waiting for my soda. Damn this is going to be one expensive diet Coke...but I really wanted it. I move to other side of bank of machines wanting to stay in same area so the waitress can find me and deliver my $40 soda. I'm actually a little annoyed at this point. Where the heck did she go for the soda??? Well she finally walks up and as she does, this happens.... Nice win on the Quick Hits machine! It sounds like you had a great trip and I'm sure the 5K hit that early certainly helped.

Nice TR, thanks for sharing it.

Definitely early in the trip, for me. I love knowing I can play with house money instead of ours.

Awesome hit!!! And my g/f said the same thing about Shania when she went to her 2nd show at the Colosseum in Dec. 2012, very personable. And yeah, the Quad garage is a disaster. Harrah's is better organized, but can be packed on the weekend. We had better luck with Venetian and TI the times we had a rental car.

Probably this because after a big enough win, I will probably book a certain trip win. I really never try to parlay anything. But a tax form type win is welcome to appear whenever it wants to. Historically I get off to a slow start, and some of my bigger wins are around the day before I leave.

Nice report Jonny! Cool you're a chip collector.. check out the CC&GTCC and the Chipboard.com if more interested in the hobby.

More often than not,It's my last session when you're short on time and start getting lucky.Nice to recoup some losses, but the dreaded flight home awaits..
I think only once I hit something significant on my first night, but feels great waking up to the LV sunrise with house $ in the safe.

Awesome score, but 2 hand pays in 29 years? That is a long span. I read a few where people get 2 in one trip, but I can't talk as I have yet to get one.
You definitely go around. Glad you enjoyed the trip.
