Hi everyone - long time lurker and first time poster.

We were looking for a pre-show place for a drink and light meal and the happy hour at Andre's cigar lounge seems to fit the bill except none of us are smokers! It looks like a great place however with a great drink selection and just the type of food we were looking for. The website purports to have excellent ventilation but, does anyone here have first hand experience for the lung factor?

    thanks

We went to happy hour once last year at Andre's before our dinner reservations. We sat at the bar that's right inside the entrance. I am not sure if that is supposed to also be the cigar lounge or not. We were the only ones there though, so I don't know if that's where people could smoke.

I know that probably doesn't really help, but my point is that at happy hour time might not be as busy as you might think. If that happens to be where the cigar lounge is, I am guessing that crowd probably doesn't come in until later. If you sit on the left side of the bar, you'd be furthest away from the rest of the bar area, just in case people ended up lighting up there. Also, get there early and you'll likely have the whole place to yourself. :)

While not smokers, I think we can all handle a little smoke. I find I can sit at the tables with smokers in some of the newer casinos no problem but, in some of the older less ventilated rooms, I have to pass and move on. We do all enjoy our cognac and whisky and does look like a decent place to chill for an hour or so.

The cigar and whiskey lounge is on the second floor, there's a stair case tucked in the corner of the bar off the entrance to the main dining room. I don't belief they serve food there, at least, I've never seen anyone eat in there. The bar, however, does offer a happy hour and small bites. It is off the casino floor and leads to the main dining room.

When I was there in March there were maybe one other person smoking. My buddy and I made it three smokers. I don't remember it being overly smokey. Great place to sit and enjoy some cognac and a cigar.

My understanding is that Nevada law doesn't permit smoking anymore in spaces that serve food. The line between "bar" and "restaurant" is definitely a bit fuzzy, though.

The lounge does not serve food as was mentioned, but I can tell you the lounge has OUTSTANDING ventilation the best of any cigar lounge I have been to and I have been to a few

Well I'll be damned! Either that is something new or we just missed it, may have to do that one Saturday.
