Pre-Orders started today. I just ordered (5) new Apple TV 4's!
    (4) as gifts and (1) for myself. I use my Apple TV 3 all the time.
I'm not a Gamer so I ordered the 32GB versions. Woohoo!

We have 2 Apple TV's, not sure which version they are. Can you sum up the primary differences between the 4 and previous versions?

I mainly use mine to watch Netflix, so I'm not exactly the most well versed user, ha ha.

You'll have to read up on it. It's a new design. Will have Apps like other boxes and Streaming Games which do not interest me.
The main new feature is the Remote Control. It has Siri built-in. You can scroll with your fingers like you can on your mobile device.
And Siri allows you to talk to your Apple TV set-box and tell it what it is you would like to watch. I rent movies & watch Netflix & YouTube.

I'll probably end up getting one, but I'm disappointed it doesn't allow 4K streaming.

I was looking at it and once again, Apple charges the most premium price for an inferior product.

No 4K when EVERYONE else has it now and of course, paying more for locked down memory when 32GB microSD cards are running for $10, 64GB for $18, and 128GB for $45.

Also no Amazon Prime on it.

    No thanks.

    Follow Up

I received my new Apple TV 4 yesterday. Setup was fairly easy. You're supposed to be able to activate it by
placing your iPhone in Bluetooth mode and setting it next to the box. However that failed because in order to
do that a few things need to happen first such as Pairing the Remote Control and connecting to WiFi.

Apple has never been very good at providing Manuals but Hardcore users know how to use their products.

I set it up last night and downloaded a few Apps like Netflix etc. The Remote will take some time to get used to.
It's a different experience compared to older Apple TV units but so far my family members seem to be happy.
I told each one of them separately in an email to expect a Package to arrive but no one knew what it was.

So I ended up surprising them all with an Early Christmas Present!
