Who has been there, stayed there, etc.? Would love to hear any feedback. Now that it's part of Boyd I'm planning on checking it out. My wife isn't a big fan of most of the Boyd properties to stay at. She's a bit of a travel snob but I think i'm to blame for that (long story).

My wife likes hotels like Red Rock and from the looks of it Aliante looks pretty swanky.

My solo trips which i do 2-3 a year i'll stay a MSS.

It's worth stopping in if you're in the area, but don't make a special trip! It's far more M-ish than it is Red Rock-ish. I've never seen the hotel.

The buffet is good but not exceptional. Again, worth it if you're there, but don't go out of your way. Fairly good selection of the machines I like.

Rooms are good. They are decent sized and have mini fridges. No in-room coffee, bur I got a daily coup for coffee at the coffee stand which is located next to the elevators. The steakhouse and coffee shop are fine, not great. Not a buffet person so nothing to report there. The deli next to the sportsbook makes good sandwiches. The casino offers whatever you need including some decent VP. All in all I found it a good place to stay and will return.

    Good Luck!

This used to be a Stations poperty. We visited first in 2008 when it first opened and have been back a few times since. It's a very nice property. On par with Red Rock and GVR in my opinion.

We will visit again next trip, even though I've heard the slot clubs won't merge until next year.

Just a small correction...it opened in November of 2008. I only know that because we were living nearby and went to the grand opening festivities.

Size wise M is probably a good comparison. It is a very nice small casino in the middle of nowhere. Buffet is way better than Red Rock in my opinion. Other restaurants are solid. They were very good about discretionary comps but that will probably change when the Boyd takeover is complete.

The common areas of the casino will be by far the nicest of any Boyd property in town. Rooms are nice, but the queen I stayed in for March Madness was a little cramped with the two queen beds. Bathrooms high quality. Will probably stay there for MM again if the free rooms continue. I tried to book through my host before the takeover but she couldn't due to uncertainty.

I found Aliante to be like a smaller Red Rock. Very nice place for the locals...someplace you should see...but not somewhere I'd keep making the drive to get to. Red Rock is closer and because of it's size has more to offer.
