T Mobile loyalty rep told me that Samsung phones are free tomorrow and sat at T Mobile retailers for people elijible for handset up grades like I am. She told me that you still have to buy the phone, but you get a rebate card for the entire purchase price.

Thanks I will have to stop way my local tmobile store. I don't know if I want to upgrade though, because my phone as it is can be used as a hotspot without a plan. I'm not sure if that is possible without a fee with the newer phones.

I just got my new Samsung Galaxy S2

It ran me $199 +tax and I got a form to send in for a $200 rebate. It required me to upgrade my service to a $20 a month data plan. I also had to renew my family plan for 2 yrs. but I got a month free . Just came along at the right time when I was up for renewall.

Thanks for the heads up. Thank god that they did not merge with AT&T. T-Mobile customer service rocks and AT&T would have brought their customer service way down.:peace:
