In 2000, the Spice Market buffet was GOOD!!!! Excellent selection, high quality. I stayed there with my (now ex-) wife when we got married. We loved that buffet!!! That's the only thing I can remember. Haven't stayed there since it became

    PH.

I went back to the buffet in January and it was "life sustaining".

New Orleans 7* retreat. Food, food, and more food . . . .
    Tentatively Tahoe or LV . . . .

I only have experience with the casinos as I haven't stayed at either, I loved the Aladdin casino. I know the layout was weird but I couldn't believe people didn't give it more of a chance. PH completely turns me off. From what I've seen of it, there are other places all over that do the same thing better.

Aladdin was great when it (re-)opened. As leo said, a bit quirky on the flight path but the rooms, amenities, food, the original mall, all were up there and we enjoyed the casino look and feel. Now it's just another joint McHarrah'$-ized by those eminent creators of the lowest common denominator possible.

Depends on your age/interests... PH is going after a younger, more into partying kinda crowd.

Stayed at the Aladdin once many years ago and the one thing I really enjoyed is that they had rooms with a sliding door to the pool area--much like what the Ling has now.
As I really enjoy lounging at the pool I was very happy

We used to go to the lounge in Aladdin frequently; they always seemed to have a good band and a fun crowd.
