  1. First a big thanks to everyone on t2v. The info and tips here was very helpful. Booked the whole deal through Expedia. No problems at all. My wives cousin and his wife drove in from California to pick us up at the airport. This was my 1st. trip, the wives 3rd. Our 25th. wedding anniversary. Check in was very fast, friendly staff. Had a fountain veiw room on the 34th. floor.Excellent view of the fountains but I liked the view of the pool at Paris much better. The binoculars came in handy! We hit the mall, ate at Cheeseburger Oasis.Pretty good burger, fries and onion rings.Very good drink.Mai Tai- I think.Got a good buzz going.Off to Harrah`s canivale court. More drinks, decent band. The spray misters were a big help as it was hot.Had fun there.Tuesday we all wandered around the Bellagio and Venetian.Very nice "scenery" for us two guys. WOW!!Went downtown Tuesday evening.Wandered in and out of casinos playing slots, drinking, just taking it all in. The light show was great!! The pace was much more laid back there.People were not as flashy, nobody seemed to be in a hurry.Suited the wife and me just fine. Just strolling around with a margarita, people applauding and cheering the light show...everything seemed to be ok in the world for a short time. After some debate, we went in Girls of glitter gulch. A 2 drink min.per person.37.00 per couple.Kind of steep for not so good drinks. The scenery was pretty good though. The wife said she could dance better than those girls. She was right.I got a 25th.anniversary strip and lap dance from the wife that night.Too bad a 25th.anniv.comes only once!! We left Fremont St. for The Orleans. Had to perve on the waitresses costumes. Yep,worked for me!I saw a Jeff Foxworthy redneck penny machine that was calling me.Hit it for 58.00. Wed. morning went down for coffee and a smoke.Walking back thru the casino stopped at a .25 2 coin Haywire.About the 5th. spin, the 3 wild symbols came up.400.00. A guy walking by said don`t stop, play another machine. So I put a 5 in a 3coin haywire right next to the 2 coiner.3rd. spin, the 3 wild symbols came up. 600.00 Wow, 1000.00 in less than 5 minutes. I also won 100.00 for my daughter on this same haywire. The wife won over 300.00 on the 2 coin haywire. The wife won 125.00 on a jeopardy machine also.I tipped the girls for our hand pays, and they would hold the 5.00 up in the air. What is that all about? We had our dinner bought for us wed. evening at Tremezzo. The service was excellent but I thought the steak was just a bit above average.I guess this country boy just doesn`t understand fine dining.Still don`t know what that green gob of stuff was on my steak.Again, excellent service. We enjoyed it. OK,time to play spot the hookers.Wed. evening they were at all the bars in the Aladdin. The wife got into it.She would see a couple heading towards the elevators."There goes another happy camper." I wanted to buy one of the working girls a drink but never got the courage up to approach them. No, I did not plan on playing the game, just wanted to buy a "10" a drink and chat. But if I were single....yes I would! Wow,never saw so many perfect bodied women at once in my life. The wife kept asking if I was still pervin` on all the ladies.Yep, if they are going to dress that way I am going to look. Had breakfast at Zanzibar twice.Very large portions.Pretty good service, they kept the coffee coming. The Virgina ham breakfast was huge. Did the breakfast buffet at Spice market, very good.Had a 20.00 food comp so we did the supper buffet at spice market.I`m not a fan of buffets but it was pretty good. We ate at Outback steakhouse. Was very good. In closing,we feel we got more than our moneys worth from our 5 day trip.Incredible 1st. trip. We really enjoyed the Aladdin. We wandered around in Ceasars looking for the Cheesecake factory. We never did find it.That place is confusing. We liked the layout of the restaurants in NY.NY. My only complaint is there were some rude people walking up and down the strip who would not move over for people in a wheelchair or anything else.I had to bite my tounge a few times. We will be back as soon as possible. Thanks for reading, hope it didn`t bore you to death. Thanks to all for the great tips and info.

Besides Bluegrass, who says lookin' is a crime! Sure ain't in my book. Nice to see the wife doesn't mind. That to me is a great relationship. "You can look, but don't touch". Works for me.

You had great luck on the haywires. I didn't. I'm convinced either people have it... or they don't!

    Nice report!

  3. I would guess that the reason they hold the $5 tip up in the air is to show everyone in the Casino how genorous you were to tip.
Actually I would guess that it is to show security cameras that they got a tip.

Thanks Boxcars.Yes the wife and I have a great relationship with alot of trust. We both look but it stops there. There has been some debate on g-rated posts and steamy ones.I hope I didn`t offend anyone with my trip report. If so I apologize.I was basically making fun of myself, country boy hitting the big city, being somewhat overwhelmed by all the glitz and glitter. As playing the slots, I just got totally lucky.I never win anything. Was 1st. timers luck.

Tim and Kelly,I think your right about showing security they received a tip. From the slot attendants reactions, they probably don`t get tipped very often. They were very appreciative. On the 2nd jackpot they were at the machine before it had rang up all the credits.Great service,so they got a nice tip.

...and that's one of the things that made it a fun read, bluegrass. Thanks for posting. (p.s. keep on "pervin", we all do it, that's what sunglasses are for...)

Thanks doctor_al. Now I know why the wife kept asking if I wanted to get some sunglasses....probably so I wouldnt embarrass her..LOL. I`ll remember that for our next trip.

The reason the cash payout girls hold the 5 dollar bill in the air is that we have had a rash of fake $5.00's here lately. I fell victim to 2 and Jim has fallen victim to at least 1 he knows of . that is the latest counterfit thing is the 5 dollar bills. after someone pointed out to both Jim and I how to spot a real or a fake you have to hold them up and see if they are real.
