A friend and I arrive to Terminal 1, Gate D#.

Now, we both have carry-on luggage only, and I am wondering: Can we just take the tram to terminal 3 and catch the much smaller taxi line, or is it best to go back to terminal 1 and cue up there?

You shouldn't have any problem taking the tram to Terminal 3.

Our next flight to Las Vegas should be arriving at Terminal 3, but we haven't been there yet... but I have heard that sometimes there aren't that many taxis at Terminal 3 and some people went to Terminal 1 to get a taxi.

From personal experience I've only ever seen one big lineup for the taxis at Terminal 1 and even that moved at a pretty good pace, otherwise its always just been short lines when we got there (10-10:30AM or 4:30-5:30PM so maybe we are just missing the big afternoon crunch). This is to where if I had this choice I'd just go to Terminal 1 myself.
