I see this on SWA sometimes (OAK to LAS):

    Feb 6th
Depart OAK 4PM Arrive LAS 6:30 (1 stop) price $233
    OR
    Depart OAK 5:10PM Arrive LAS 6:35 (non-stop) price $114

Hmmm..Let's see..I think I prefer the 1 hr. shorter trip at 1/2 the fare :poke:

Airline fare mktg. is an interesting/crazy thing.
I think the non-stop may have been added recently or the price dropped because I booked this 4pm 1 stop during the Oct. sale for 2280 pts. ($49)

My non-stops are always cheaper than the 1-stops, I think because of the extra fees they need to pay to the extra airport at which they land. But the difference between the fares you posted is kind of ridiculous.

Always crazy. Dont forget that plane moves around a lot in a day. Your route is only one leg, lots of things factor into the price. The more stops the plane makes, the more the fees add up for each airport. SWA fares will make you scratch your head until it bleeds!!

It's probably because one of your flights on that one-stop itinerary has a pretty high fare, which is why your overall fare for that itinerary is pretty high. Not really craziness... just supply and demand...
