I will be in Vegas alone for a week (and then with friends for another week).

May I ask for experiences with using 2-4-1 coupons when alone. Which will be accepted, which will not be accepted?

There are some of the ACG buffet coupons ... Silverton, SunCoast, Terrible's ... which have the "50% off for one person" printed on the face of their coupon. Those that don't ... all you can do is ask politely, and some might allow it, while others will stick hard & fast to the 2/1 policy.

This is what I thought, so I hoped to find people here that have experiences already.

My experience has been as the coupon states, so I quit asking 2 or 3 years ago--I doubt if that has changed.

That means if the coupon does not state "half off if alone", then they will not do it, right?

That is correct, wernerw, though it never hurts to ask. I think that a long time ago I had a 2 for 1 at MSS and you had to get a voucher from the promotion booth, and they let me in for 50%. Years ago there were many more 2 for one's or 50% off coupons in both the ACG and LVA. First the 50% off solo coupons disappeared and then even the 2 for 1's became more scarce. It's funny, it is a promotion to get people into your casino, so for half a meal you get one player or for a full meal you get 2 people, seems to work either way but in LV nothing is left to chance. Couples must gamble more.

Last coupon I used I mentioned in another thread, i waited in line for the buffet and was sent to promotions for a voucher. I waited in line there and got my voucher to go back and wait in a now very long line at the buffet and I decided that it wasn't worth the $6 to me for my time and effort. i now buy neither book. I buy show tickets at TIX4TONITE or even cheaper on goldstarevents.com and check the free magazines and info racks at the registration desks.

You can always find a friend in line and ask if they want to split the 2/1. You don't have to sit with them or you can make new friends and sit with them. I did that at Paris. I had a coupon and met a nice couple shared the coupon with them and then had breakfast with them.
