    My Trip Report

My wife and I live in loudon county about 10 min from Dulles airport. Fly borgata was going out of Landmark Aviation which is a private airport.

We had 2 seats which cost $40 total between the both of us which was cheaper than gas, tolls and wear and tear on the car (and beats driving 4 hours which was my bday weekend).

Our flight out was delayed about 2 hours due to the storms we had but we did make it out. Tons of turbulence but after baltimore, it was smoothe sailing. About a 45 min flight compared to 4 hours driving.

Bus took us from ac airport to borgata. Had a fiore suite and we both took quick showers because we had dinner reservations at fornelletto. They sat us early (wanted to watch the wizards game) and everything was delicious. After dinner, we checked out long bar but it was packed and everyone was watching the Yankee game and rangers game.

So we went to the bar next to mixx and the bar tender was able to get the wiz game on for us. At halftime, I decide to gamble and go into the high limit room to play bacc. (Wife hates it due to the fun atmosphere compared to Bj).

    Will finish the rest tomorrow.

Halftime of wizards game, we go to the high limit room and sit at a bacc table. Wife went to bed around midnight. At one point, I was down 10k but made it back and up 3500 by the time I went to bed at 6:30 am.

    Saturday

Had about 4 hours of sleep and went to get Starbucks for my wife and I. We had coffee and went down to the black card lounge (you have to pay $15 in comp dollars pp I believe) for breakfast. It was a buffet set-up but with an omelette station etc. We had a few bloody Mary's (hair of the dog) and we were ready to go.

We didn't gamble but we both had massage Appts and we both had the "rock your senses" massage. I had a great massage but my wife's masseuse was kind of rough for her. We both took showers after and got ready for dinner and the night.

We went down to gamble a bit and went to play in the high limit room to play Bj per my wife's request. We were holding our own but it turned against us. Ended up putting my +3500 back plus 1500 in the last shoe before dinner.

Now -1500 we go to have dinner at bobby flay steak (been many times). We had one of the worst tables in the restaurant where it is a 2 top but everyone almost knocks everything off of your table. Honestly, we had no room for anything on the table.

We had a great bottle of $150 Pinot noir which we couldn't finish, a salad, an crab salad app and shared the waygu steak with lobster tail. In the middle of dinner, we both could not keep our eyes open. We didn't hardly finish dinner and settled up the bill which was around $450 for 2 of us.

We get in bed by 10:30 on a Saturday in a casino (don't laugh) and watch tv for a bit.

    Sunday

I wake up around 9 am feeling refreshed while the wife was still asleep. I shower, pack up a bit and go get coffee from Starbucks. I play a bit of bacc in the high limit room doing well. Then a player I was playing with on Friday night told me about the night he had on Saturday where what he was playing won him 10k. He said the way I was playing would've won me 30k minimum in which I told him how we passed out during dinner.

While I was playing, I ended making the $1500 back and back to even in which I was happy ( have Vegas trip in a few weeks). My wife came down from the room and we went to metropolitan for lunch.

The flight meet-up leaves at 4pm so we shop a bit and I decide not to gamble heavy anymore. I told her lets find a Bj table we can both play at together to have fun. We find a $10 table and I buy us both in for $100 which lasts us until we have to get to the bus for our flight back home.

    Final

We had a great time/break away from our daughter who is 2. It's hard for my wife to leave her. Ended coming home around even and the flight home was great. My wife said this (referring to the flights) is the only way she would go to ac again.

We leave to Vegas on May 24 for our anniv in which she is excited for.

Sorry for the boring tr, hope to have a better one after may!

Do they do same day round trip flights or do you have to stay overnight?

Our flight was a 2 night trip out of dc. Sometimes they do a 1 night trip. Never seen a same day trip. You need to receive an invite/offer for the flights but you still pay a charge of $20 a person.

Not boring at all, I love AC reports especially about Borgata. I didn't even realize the amphora lounge served breakfast. I've only used it later in the day and thought that was the only time they served.

Sucks about missing that baccarat streak, but gambling is full of those missed opportunities in hindsight. A dinner full of steak, lobster, and wine would have knocked me out too. I'm getting sleepy right now just thinking about it!

How often do you go to AC from down there?

Thnx kickin. I guess you can say it was brunch at amphora. That's what the little menu stand before you go in said. It was actually pretty good.

I/we get to ac about 4 times a year. It used to be more but with work and a child, it is harder for us.
