I stayed at the Venetian for a quick one night business trip last Wednesday. The V had decent crowds but it was not packed anywhere I went. I did look for the $5 tables between the Poker Room and the Sports Book but they were not open. Everywhere else inside the V was $10 tables with moderate action on 1-2 tables. Slid over to Casino Royal and the $5 tables were busy but you could slide right into a spot most of the night (drink service is still as prompt as any place I have ever been) I played around 90minutes and lost around $100 before taking a walk. Some of the dealers came over from the Horseshoe, they were a little bit surly but opened up once they saw you were willing to tip for good service. They have some good stories to tell. I popped into the Linq and O'Sheas since I haven't been to Vegas since they opened. O'Shea's looked nice and had a fun vibe with dark wood and an open air interior. Only had a $10 table running here as well. I ended up stopping at Harrah's and spent about 40 minutes at their $5 table which was busy. I was lucky enough to put out a couple bucks on the Fire Bet and the third shooter hit 4 numbers, ended up doubling my buy in then leaving. The strip was busy but very walkable. I know it was a Weds but the crowds still seemed light for a summer night.
