That's a great list of headliners. I would have paid to see anyone of them.

What a great list. Rickles is still going! we saw him in Vegas 2 years ago.

How cool would it have been to say you saw Dean Martin or Jack Benny.

Patti Page just died on New Year's Day at ~85. She sold 100 million+ records in her career.

I have red velvet card, not sure if it was a ticket or program, from Caesars Palace from a Peggy Lee show. It was my uncles and I got it after he passed away. Even though it's in a box of my stuff I treasure it and need to put it on display.

A person wonders, if in 30 years, if people will be sitting around talking about how they saw Pitbull or that fart knocker from Jersey Shore (Pauly) in Vegas in 2012. I really doubt it. Times have really changed. In my 37 years on earth, I can't think of a worse era for entertainment than now. I would have loved to have seen anyone on that list.

Weren't the Ink Spots were still playing at the Plaza lounge just a few years back, or do I have them confused with someone else?

Hey, do you think you can scan that thing or take a good picture of it so we can see it? That sounds really cool.

One of my ebay Vegas treasures is a What's On type magazine from 1989. Paul Anka on the cover. It's like a time machine.

It may well have been a group calling themselves the Ink Spots but they surely couldn't have been the original Ink Spots. The original group formed in the 1930s and were actively performing and recording up until the 1950s.

I think Rich Little is still playing at the Hilton and I'm pumped to find out that Don Rickles will be playing when I go this April.

We saw Rickles in 2009 at the Orleans. Very funny, but maybe just a bit too reflective and sentimental. The show we saw, he had an entire orchestra on stage and sang a little bit also.

Although at age 86, I guess Rickles can do anything he wants.:poke:

Had to see Don one time, so my buddy and I saw him at a MN casino a couple of years ago... same show you saw... Don relying a bit too much on the fact he had a band backing him up... sang a little. Still a good show, but certainly not vintage Rickles. Show was about 60 minutes in length. Had seats close to the stage, made it a lot of fun to see him up close.

It's fun to see how the entertainement landscape has shifted from back in the day.

It's on my bucket list to have Don Rickles call me a hockey puck.
