    Hello all,

Does anybody know if Suncoast has 9/6 JoB VP at the 25 cent level (preferably at the bar )? I was thinking of taking the WAX out there and checking the place out this weekend, using a 5x points ACG coupon. vpfree2 doesn't show JoB there.

    don't think have anywhere

was there not long ago, as far as FP games, the most interesting is the 9/6 BP deluxe which is pretty rare, that is at all bars even at .25 level, goes all the way up to $5 at 9/6, other FP is tb+ and TDB, both also at FP and I think the .25 level, in other words it is a good place to play if you like higher volatility games, think BP is 8/5 at the bars but don't really remember as I pay bonus deluxe,

    cheers

According to VPFree2, nay. But as wilsje1 mentioned above, they do have a better returning game in 9/6 Bonus Poker Deluxe (99.64% max, and BeeeJay's favorite game) at "several bars":

    http://www.vpfree2.com/casino/suncoast-casino-hotel

Following 9/6 JoB strategy to a tee will return 99.61%.

But some of the biggest changes to help move it toward 99.64%:

Inside straight with no high cards is better than garbage.
Four to a flush is better than 3 to a Royal.
Inside straight with two offsuit high cards is better than high cards only.
AKQJ is better than QJ suited.

The full strategy is at the website below.

    wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/strategy/a-1-b-40-c-1-d-0-d-1-d-1-d-3-d-4-d-6-d-9-d-80-d-50-d-800/

many other strategies can be created from the site too with knowledge of the paytable.

    http://wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/strategy/calculator/

Although beware that this game will require a bit more of a stomach and a bigger bankroll since 2 pair is now a push instead of a win, but quads pay 225% more (80 vs. 25 for 1) than JoB.

tringlomane, what a hilarious reason for the edit! I really appreciate the info too. I did not realize using JoB strategy on Bonus Poker Deluxe would be a viable option. I may try it for a bit, but I really like the low volatility of 9/6 JoB.

    Thanks again!

OK, after reading more about Bonus Poker Deluxe, I plan on heading to Suncoast to give it a try this weekend. Thanks again for the advice!

    Hey there,

I want to say Thank You again to wilsje1 and tringlomane for the information and insight on 9/6 Bonus Poker Deluxe at Suncoast. I went over to Suncoast on Saturday, July 27th and played 9/6 BPD for about 2.5 hours. During the session I hit 2 straight flushes and 3 four-of-a-kinds. I left the place about $60 richer. Plus, they serve Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on tap at the bar.
Thank you again to both of you!

2 SF's? That's surprising! Glad you finished a winner there and good to know that they had Sierra Nevada on tap. That is starting to become my go-to in Vegas when I can find it. :)

Yes, I was shocked to see one straight flush - let alone two. Prior to this session, I had only ever hit one straight flush ever; and it was three years ago.

Well if you like Pale Ale and you are downtown, try the Marker Pale Ale at Main Street Station. Even if you aren't gambling, pints are only $1.75 at the Boar's Head Bar there. (although I bet you may have already known this).

Have a great trip! I hope you enjoy the Suncoast. I would love to hear what you thought of the rooms there.

Not sure if you will be driving or not, but if not the WAX bus is a great, affordable alternative to a taxi. From the airport to the Suncoast its about an hour bus ride, and the bus drops you off right in the Suncoast parking lot. Then, you can take the same bus from the Suncoast downtown to stay at MSS!

We always rent a car when we go to Vegas because we like to hit a LOT of off-strip casinos. But thanks for the bus info ~ it's good to know and I'm sure it will be helpful for a lot of folks!

Actually my g/f loves the strip a lot more, so I often tend to sacrifice for her...meh. But when I make it back to Fremont, I will def. give it a try. 9/6 JoB is better than I'm used to for beer at the bar!

The rooms are very nice and spacious with great views of the golf course or strip off in the distance.

I have the same problem. Luckily, I only have to suffer one night at Paris on our next trip.
