    My Trip Report

Just for starters, spending the week with DW and double booking at Ballys and Paris

Left Boston at 8:30 PM Sunday and arrived 11PM Vegas time, was able to talk my wife into carry-on baggage and Ketel-One Nips and after landing, it was off to the cab line and checking into Ballys at 11:30 pm
Cab fare $26 W/tip no tunnel action and upon check-in informed all rooms sold out but will upgrade me to a South Tower suite  Room was huge but very dated , I thought I was in a time warp LOL Rug probably the original, sunken bath tub , his and her sinks with a toilet on the left and a bidet on the right ( not even sure how to use this thing :confused2:)
Original plan was just go to bed and wake up fresh in the morning because of the 3 hrs time change, but being Vegas that was overruled, went down to the casino and the place was packed, and I swear there was a smokers convention going on because the smoke was so thick you could cut it with a knife. Being one time smoker for 20+ years smoke never bothers me and I got nothing againts someone who smokes but this was BAD, had to leave and went over to "Old Reliable" Stage Door for the $1 michs, Somewhat of a locals hangout but a great watering hole to ponder your loses and to make out future plans.
Next move was the DW always wanted the Steak and Egg at Bills late night so off we go,
after a 10 min wait we are seated and I got the $4.99 3 eggs combo, she got the steak and eggs , meal acceptable for the cost even though the steak was what you might expect "a little tough"
Time was getting close to 2:30 AM and being 5:30 AM back home time to hit the sack

    Monday 9/3
Got up around 9 and moved our gear down the hallway over to Paris which I have comped till Friday  Check in the baggage and hit the strip
Walk down to Mc D's and grab a coffee to wake up and being so close to Casino Royale time to hit the promo slots, grab a couple 2 for one beer coupons and start the day, (dont know about you, but 50 cent mich's best deal on the strip Just make sure to tip your bar keep :nono:)
Continue on down to the Gondola pools at the Venitian finish our drinks, start walking back, hit the promo slots for 2 more coupons, for our walk back to Bally's to check out, $44 with tax not bad for the room and we head off to Gustav's Bar for some VP, Both played for bout 2 hours and 3 Grey Goose's later cashed out +50 and crossed the street to Bellagio to find the Tram since have never been to Aria, Monte Carlo, Etc.

Made the walk thru Monte Carlo appears mid level resort Aria , City center complex appears more higher end crowd, made our way back to the Paris to check -in , 20 dollar Trick nabs me 23rd floor with tower/fountain/pool views which was very nice and DW really loved it since prior visits always ended up with the "Mountain View" after a quick settle in shes off to pool, me ? back to casino, I started with the Gold fish slot, not much of a slot person but was able to get it to +65 before cashing out, then over to Gustav's to hit some VP, After some more Vodka's and small wins off to PH Spice Market Buffet, I have had breakfast here before but never dinner and to be honest I didnt think it was that great, was thinking I should have spent the extra $ at the Bellagio or tried Wicked Spoon but live and learn I guess , Play some VP at PH casino loose about $100 and DW about $40, Drink service very good however.
Back to Gustav's to finish the evening, hit some 4OAK but still nothing big ,still dreaming of the big hit Royal, Drinks and Bar tending service however top notch at Gustav's

Got up about 8AM with a sore throat and cough not a good sign :grrr: went for the morning room service European breakfast they offer, Danish, Breads, cheeses, fruit, and cold cuts of Salami, Prochutto, Capricola. I usually dont do Room service but this is a huge portion and is good for 2 days at least and with the fridge at Paris its nice to have for snacks or next morning breakfast and about 20 bucks if I remember right. Has a Living social coupon to see Marc Savard show that evening and called in to confirm reservations for that evening and headed off to the pool around 10. At this time the sun does not quite get over the hotel roof but when it does it gets really hot in the sun! we had a 2 for 1 groupon for the bar and ordered 2 vodka slushie drink things, not much Vodka IMO and if your going to charge $14 bucks for a drink put some booze in it :grrr: (sorry just a small rant) After getting seared to a golden brown we shower and head down the strip to those promo slots for more 2/1 michs at casino royale, then over to IP for lunch at Hash House A Go Go, Had a BoGo for lunch meal she got the chicken and waffles, while I had a stuffed burger with fries that was the size of my head ! HHAGG never disappoints with the meals and with the cost and quantity we always make a point to stop in on every trip. At this point my cough is picking up so we head back to Gustav's to try and find a Vodka cure LOL.
Only thing scored at Gustav's was a buzz and deciding to need some food and with a free birthday sandwich coupon we headed over to Earls so my DW can experience Earls for the first time, I got a meatball, while she did the Hawaiian Chicken, another establishment that never disappoints with quantity and quality of its food. By this time the cold was kicking in hard along with the booze and with a show set for later on that evening we heads back to the room to re-charge, unfortuatly the recharge turned into coughing fits, throat was sore and I had a full blown chest cold, opted to call it a night and crashed around 9PM will try to fight another day.

Thanks for your concerns the cold did put a damper on the trip but did not stop the Quest

    9/5
Woke up to a major cold with cough etc, first order of the day was walk down to Walgreens for some over the counter Med's Got some Halls and cough syrup and then off we went, Stopped over at the Cosmo and signed up for the $100 cash in promo and headed off to high limit area, plan was If I was going to loose a $100 I was doing it fast and with a chance to build my BR, hit a VP game set for max and first draw was a pair of Q's no blood stayed even, second draw pulled out a flush for $225, cashed out and ran :licklips: Turned in my ticket and went searching for Hidden Pizza, finally found it was very good and worth the trip, and for those who dont know it is truely hidden no signs or anything indicating its tucked in the back hallway. Went back to the Paris and put down some future NFL bets, My buddies and I decided to pool up some funds on the Pats to win AFC and SB, 5/2 for AFC and 11/2 for SB laid out $400 on AFC and $300 on SB hopes it come in, I put $25 on the Giants -3.5 and they screwed me again :grrr:, played the under 7 on over/under for Miami, and put $50 on the Pats -5.5 (thank you very much) Pats 34-13  other bets Lions to win NFC 9/1, Broncos over 9 and Jets under 8.5

By this time the cold was really taking its toll, plus going from outside +98 to inside probably doesnt help tried some time on Goldfish lost a Hundy in like 15 min (WTF) , headed off to BJ table and started with $25 a hand and in about 2 hours had gotten the 100 back plus another 200 (makes vegas so much easier when you got house money to play with) The drinking at this time has pretty much been curbed down, had 2 grey Goose with citron hoping the vitam C might help :rolleyes2: My Wife had gone off to the pool so I took my some of my winnings over to the Spa and got her a pedicure/manicure treatment and set up an appointment for next morning.

The meal that evening was at the Le Provencal inside the Paris using a $40 dollar groupon we purchased for $20, we had a Calamari app, along with a flatbread and ravioli dish, all the food was hot and service quick I would go there again, Ran back to the room for a cough medicine swig and off to PH for the Marc Savage Show

The Living social was nice enough to let me go to this show since I bailed on them last night, show started at 10 PM and we had to wait in line for quite a bit, Not sure what I was getting into but I tend to be a little skeptical on the Hypno shows, he came out and asked for volenteers and no shit 35 people came running onstage:eek:, He went though some mumbo jumbo stuff and eliminated about 20 of them and then the show started. I still can beleive this is not a staged event like the WWE but was quite entertaining and had a few good laughs overall better than I expected but I still can't believe people can get into a trance like that and act the fool maybe I'm wrong but I dont think I could ever get in that state.

off to bed with some more meds, about 1AM

    9/6
Still fighting this damn chest cold need something stronger but will need to wait till I get home for that.

Went down to the coffee shop by the elevator entrance to grab a cup of coffee and check Emails, FYI there is Free Wi Fi with-in the shop, After that walked down to Walgreens again for more medicine and then worked our way back up the strip to Casino Royal to try our luck on the Promo Slots, and quess what we wond 2/1 beers again :rolleyes2: so we had no choice but to have a few while we went and check out TI and Mirage resorts, never been in TI looks like a place I might try and stay one time and Mirage is very nice as well, was not going to pay $20 bucks to see the Tigers so we headed back across to casino royale to grab a couple for the road, working our way back to Stage Door along the way.
We then decided to head downtown so heading off to the RTC station grabbed a 24 hour bus pass and off we went. walk though some shop while DW was picking up some gifts and the we headed off to MSS to try the Boars bar I keep hearing about, nice clean place, beers are excellent and VP was staying even, cashed out -10 but for 3 beers well worth the trip.
Hop on the bus back and stop at Mandalay Bay DW wanted to try the -5 Bar
Though this was a kinda rip $40 bucks for a visit to a refrigerator, and with the package see purchased was a weak house concoction that had little if any Vodka in it, plus with my cold it probably was'nt the smarted thing but for a 1 time thing and she wanted to do it, Thats how I've stayed married for 27 years :ssst:

Took the Bus back to Paris and headed off to Gustav's for some VP still small wins and nothing big but at least here they know how to pour a drink :drunk:
Then off to BJ Table and the karma was gone lost $300 in what seemed like mins instead of the earlier session were I played for well over an hour, dealer was just killing everyone, House edge kicked in and I said I'm done and had to pull out or I would have lost all I gained Thus far.
Wife went to the pool to grab some more groupon drinks and we planed on the Le Burger Brasserie for Dinner, both had the Burger/Shake/fries combo for like $20 each were thinking on Gordon Ramsey's place but cant justify a $200 meal especially after the beatdown I took earlier at the BJ table
off to bed since leaving tommorow

    9/7
Cold still a pest but dealing with it, sucked down some more meds, went to the breakfast buffet at Paris since we wont be eating again till we get home at 9PM, Crepes were excellent otherwise standard breakfast fare was still good and filling

After breakfast quick run to room to make sure all packed and with an hour 1/2 to kill, off to Gustov's once again, DW was able to pull of a +30 win while I had a -50, had 2 vodkas while she had 2 bloody Mary's
Hop In the Cap around 11 and at the airport in no time $20 including tip, Depart on time and home with no issues, overall with all the Tips, Food and transportation BR was only on a -$300 damage, but with the spa added in and the future football bets I think It cuts 2/3 off of it so a Win in my book
Already looking at a Dec return now with some High School pals, since I still have funds I planned to loose but still have now, all I need is cheap airfare and a Note
