I had comps at Excalibur and Luxor - I booked 3 nights at Excalibur and then the next 3 at Luxor for the end of July and I got this e-mail:

I am writing to you, to inform you that you currently have 2 trips pending for July 2015 at the Luxor and Excalibur. Unfortunately these are both being booked under casino promotions. MGMs policy is that promotions cannot be booked at the same time nor back to back, they must have 72 hrs in between stays. At this time one of these reservations needs to be cancelled or booked under your tier rate.

anyone ever heard about this before?

Commonly known. It would probably be in the fine print in one of your invitations.

thanks for the replies, not sure why they have that policy - oh well, I have freebees at Flamingo or Harrahs to use for the last 3 nights, anyone know the reasoning behind this? I'm not a high roller by any means but if I'm unlucky the last 3 nights I could drop a couple of grand, you would think that MLife would like the business....

Why do they have this policy? Lots of guesses... mine is that they know you will blow through your money in the first stay and why give away more.
