Hey all. I was wondering if anyone knew what the best comped drink would be. i.e. Would they comp a decent scotch, or maybe the IPA from their brewery?

Or even better, what's the norm for downtown in general? I'll probably be playing at Freemont/The D/Golden Gate/4Queens.

    Thanks all

First it will depend how much are you playing? Are you in the HL room? I've heard that people in GG's HL room don't have much of an issue. I haven't had an issue getting either Jack or Makers on the casino floor in DT so I assume something like Johnny Black or Dewar's would be considered reasonable.

dewars will be comped. Johnny black maybe not. I never had an issue getting glenlivet at golden nugget. But I posted on another thread that I had played vp at Chicago brewery in 4queens and was drinking glenfiddich and they did not comp it(they would only comp dewars or J&B). After that, I made it best practice to ask if it would be comped before I ordered a drink at the VP bar downtown.

I've stayed, played, and drank many times at 4Q and here's what I've found.

THe IPA or any microbrew will be comped when playing at Chicago Brew Co.

Johnny black used to be comped, but my last two trips either Dewar's or Johhny red.

The brews upstairs at Chicago Brew Co are pretty darned tasty--although my favorite downtown is the High Roller at MSS.
