Coming to Vegas January 12th for 4 nights to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. This will be our first trip by ourselves. Looking for suggestions to make this trip very special. After all, she has put up with me for 40 years. We are in our late 50's but not to old to have fun. Any suggestions on clubs or night life for our age group. We both look like we are in our 40's and act like it too. We will be staying at Bally's so we are center strip. This will also be our first winter trip, usually visit around Memorial day. Thanks in advance.

Nova Italiano at the palms, followed by a drink at the ghost bar, then a limo ride back to the strip for bellagio fountains....that would be a good start!

Happy Anniversary and Congratulations! You don't really say how much you're looking to spend or what kind of things you're interested in. If you're looking to do romantic things, here are a few ideas, though:

    1. Dinner at Eifel Tower Restaurant overlooking the Bellagio Fountains

    2. Go to Bellagio, wander around the Conservatory and grounds enjoying the beauty and then sit in the bar area near Reception for drinks. There is usually a great pianist or jazz ensemble there. My husband and I once spent a great evening at the bar there with a very friendly bartender tasting Scotches. Just a taste of a few and he didn't charge us for full drinks, but we tipped very well.

    3. See a romantic or sexy show (depending on how much you want to spend)

    4. How about a vow renewal? I think Bellagio has a package and you may even get to pick a song for the fountains to dance to, if I remember correctly.

    5. A helicopter ride down the strip at night

    6. A limo ride with sparking wine

OK. These are all pretty pedestrian. Sorry.

Dinner at Eiffel Tower would be great. If you are on Facebook, friend their page and request/inquire about special reservations. The manager will contact you and set up a special table for you, window side. Ours had a red tablecloth, all the others were white and the table was covered in rose petals. It was awesome. Then perhaps after dinner, see a show or even stay at Paris and go to the piano bar for a fun night.

A limo ride is also nice if going elsewhere on the strip for dinner

    Congrats on 40 years!

Congrats, we are almost at the same point.

With 20 trips to Vegas already, I would think you have a good idea. Probably better than most us can guess at.

Without knowing what "floats your boat", it is hard to answer.

Personally - if you have not done the helo to Grand Canyon, I would do that.

    Congrats on your 40 years.

A dinner suggestion would be to look into getting reservations for the chef's table at one of the nicer restaurants?

If you want to go all out you may want to look at this one. Very costly but over 40 years it equals 1 $25 dinner a year. " After all, she has put up with you for 40 years", sorry just using your own words..lol

    Enjoy the celebration.

Great suggestions so far. We were both young when we got married. Me 19 and her 17, so I guess you could say we grew up together. We like to dance and have a good time. You would never believe our ages in our apperance and the way we act. Dinner and dancing will definately be part of our trip, but looking for something unique and special we will remember. As stated earlier, we are staying at Bally's. Are recommendation or connections with getting upgraded to a suite without costing a fortune? Thanks again to all.
