    My Trip Report

This was my first trip to Vegas in 10 years...WOW, has it changed!!!! Wife and I celebrating anniversary and my 40th.

Arrived in LV on 4/24 on time....Presidential Limo waiting for us at baggage claim. Wife almost pooped her pants when she saw our name on the Ipad. Hopped into the limo and a chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us.

On to Monte Carlo on a 3 night comp. Tried to $20 sandwich to see if I could get an upgrade to Hotel 32 or a Spa suite....no dice....nice lady in the VIP check in gave me the $20 back and said that I could get in a suite for 1 night, but Fri and Sat were completely full....no issues....got the 31st floor looking toward Aria.

Let's get to the specifics. We are not club goers, but really enjoy good food and good shows.

    Shows
Vinnie Favoritoon 4/24....got in on the $12.95 drink once inside for a free ticket. This dude spared no one in the audience....funny as can be. However, glad I did not spend $65 per ticket. Overall 4/5

Jersey Boys 4/26...I am not a musical fan....but I must say, this was a great show, worth the price of admission even if we were the youngest couple in the place. Scored discounted seats on bestofvegas.com...overall 5/5

    Food
Julian Serrano on 4/24...caught the happy hour. Nice selection of small plates and sangria and wine for 1/2 price....overall 4/5

Mon Ami Gambi on 4/25...scored outsideseating (great people watching) at about 10 am....weather was absolutely spectacular. Wife and I really enjoyed this place...overall 4.5/5

The Country Club on 4/25....could not sit outside because of the high wind. Had a light lunch (was still full from MAG)...overall 3.5/5

Sage on 4/25....unfortunately we slept through our 6:15 reservation so we could not take advantage of the $59 early dinner menu....these were able to squeeze us in at 9:15....Both of us had the $89 Chef's tasting menu....amazing food and superb service without being prepentious...overall 5/5

Jean Philippe Patisserie (inside Bellagio) on 4/26...stood in line for 45 minutes because wife was craving a crepe...order and then they tell us that it was going to be an additional 40 minutes because they were backed up....called an audible and both had sandwiches....overall 3.75/5

SW Steakhouse on 4/26....place was very crowded and loud....but we were seated inside in the middle of the room with a great view of the fountain....food was really good but I found that one of our two waiters was trying to get us to order things that put money in our pockets instead of just writing down what we wanted....overall food 4.5/5, because of the one idiot waiter service 2.5/5

    Gambling
Really did not gamble a lot...I won a bit at the Monte Carlo...wife sort of scattered some money ata few casinos...overall left with more that I started and managed to pay for all meals with CASH WINNINGS

    Casinos Visited
Monte Carlo - steady crowd at all times...I do not like the smell :vomit:of the hotel and casino....not sure what it is, but it stinks (but hey, I won $$ there!!!)

Bellagio, Caesars, Venetian, Pallazo, Wynn, Encore, TI, Flamingo, NYNY, Aria, Cosmo, MGM Grand, Paris, Planet Hollywood

Still like the overall feel of Bellagio. Would like to stay there or Wynn if given the opportunity (comp or descent rate)

Rode back in style (Presidential Limo) back to airport on 4/27....back to reality

    Closing thoughts
LOTS of people walking the strip...lots of kids (in strollers too) - to each his own. Lots of 20 somethings going to day clubs or night clubs...wish I had that type of $$$ to spend when I was younger!!!
Didn't seem to be as many people gambling as when I was there in 2002 and 2004...still great entertainment and I am ready to go back:wave:

Tks for the trip report, short and to the point. I didn't understand about the meal at SW Steakhouse tho. Did you mean the waiter was trying to get you to order things that you didn't want?? I hate it when the wait staff does that , whether it's SW Steak or Applebee's....

regarding SW Steakhouse....yes, the waiter was suggesting "other" options to the "mundane" filet that my wife wanted (in the end she got the filet and loved it)...and was trying really hard to get us to add either crab legs or a lobster tail to our order....enough:nono:...just bring me what I ordered!!!:peace:
