I have a trip planned for that week with a friend who hasn't been before. I thought thanksgiving week would be quite busy, but a vegas local told me it is the quietest week. Is it worth moving forward / backwards a week?

We went during Thanksgiving once before and really different notice a significant difference either way from our other usual trips.

IIRC it was slightly less crowded but nothing significant.

My advise is to go that week because you will be able to walk around without lots of people getting in your way. You will be able to make restaurant reservations without a problem. I am sure there will be some festive Buffets and Dinners at restaurants.

Remember... Only Americans celebrate "Thanksgiving on that week."
There will still be lots of people from other countries.

You will also get more attention at the Casinos.

You may also get the best view of the strip at your hotel too.

I might reserve for that week myself. It will be fun eating Turkey in Vegas.
