    My Trip Report

First time trip report! English is my second language so there might be some spelling errors, I hope you can oversee that.

My name is nick and I'm from Sweden, I lived in California for 2 years and visited the U.S. A lot during my 27 years on earth. This will be my 6th time in Vegas, first time solo.
I'm not a big gambler, I go for the food and party! I will try and keep this a live report, depending how n the wifi at my hotel!

I will be staying 8 nights at SLS, I booked thru Hotwire and this is what I got, I'm a little nervous about all the bad reviews but either way I'm only going to sleep there and won't let it put me in a bad mood,

My plan is to eat, drink go to shows etc, I will try and post pictures so expect a lot of food pics!

    DAY 1

Went to the airport at 5am... Too early but I couldn't sleep anyways since I'm nervous about flying, checking in with delta, upgraded to delta+ and got a pretty good seat, first flight is from Copenhagen to JFK "on the plane as I'm writing this" its 8hours then I have a 4hour layover in JFK and then it's 6hours to Vegas, going to land 6pm local time, so for me when I'm in Vegas is been traveling for 20+hours, had my first beer and screwdriver so not that nervous anymore:)

I will update as the trip goes on!

Landed in vegas arround 5pm, felt great! Was so excited to finally be here, went outside to the taxi lane and it felt like walking in to a sauna! Crazy hot. But i love it:) it's been raining in Sweden the past couple of weeks,..

Got to SLS and was pleasantly surprised, very friendly staff, room was nice and clean and it was kinda crowded, So far so good!

Unpacked and then hit the monorail and went down the strip!! Jumped of at balls and walked around for a while finally settled in the chandelier bar and had some awesome drinks! Walked over to twin peaks and tried the super cold beers, coors light, not really fond of American beer but had to try one!

Walked over to MGM and had a late dinner at Wolfgang puck bar and grill! Was not impressed, Caesar salad was ok but the halibut was dry and the broccoli was undercooked, and for the price it was not worth it,

I had now been up for 25hours so was feeling very tired, so I decided to go back to SLS and sleep, but when I got there I got the urge to try out video poker for the first time, out in 60$ played for like 40min ended up with 70$ so all in all fun game! Went to bed and are now ready to start my Vegas vacation! [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

    Day 2

Woke up around 6am and feeling like a million bucks, went down to the gym(clean and had some good options) had a simple breakfast (banana and yoghurt). Plan was to go down to the pool at 9 but when I got there they told me it did not open until 10.30!!! So I decided to grap a drink at the bar, early but wth I'm on vacation!!

Pool open and I hung out there for a while, good pools they had 2 different ones, not to crowded so that was a big plus.

After soaking up the sun for a couple of hours I went to umami burger for a quick lunch, I had the umami and it was good!

Took the monorail to the strip and wandered around to different casino is and bars, had a couple of drinks at rhumbar, very good..checked out tilted kilt in the linq promanade, cool place but lacked a bit on the service.

Went back to SLS and went to the pool again and had some drinks, damn its hot in Vegas!!
Went up to my room and turned the tv on, was planing on relaxing a bit before I go out for the evening! Fell asleep and woke up at 8,30.. I took a quick shower and went to the palazzo for dinner. Ended up at Lavo where I'm currently at ( free wifi is great) food was very good can highly recommend this place, had calamari and meatballs with spaghetti!! Right now I have a good coma and we'll see what the night brings!

    Thanks for the comments!

Looks like a fun trip so far, thank for taking us along.

Please don't judge all American beer by your Coors Light experience. It can be better.

    Day 3

Late night last night, but fun, bar hopped a lot, tried to find a fun party bar with a lot of ppl but was pretty empty at most places, flying solo so if you have any good bars to recommend to have a good time even tho you are solo I would appreciate it:)!

Woke up early today 8am went to the gym then had breakfast at northside cafe! Was good, had a protein omelet! Then went to the pool and was there until now, 2pm sitting at ku noodle right now for lunch! Then headed back to the strip!

    Will update later today!

Great to read a report from a fellow Scandinavian. :) I can relate to those travel times, I'm looking at +20h as well on my upcoming trip. And I don't even want to get started on the weather which has been beyond horrible.

Really enjoying and looking forward to your trip report, hope you're having a blast!

Thanks for sharing your TR! Vegas can be a bit sleepy and slow during the day but the bars at Cosmopolitan heat up in the evening. Check out Planet Hollywood too. Good music.
