My son turns 21 today and we're flying to Vegas Friday for the weekend to celebrate and introduce him to the better part of getting older.

We'll be staying at a Corner Suite at the Aria and seeing Zumanity on Saturday night.

Looking for suggestions on what might be appropriate (no hookers/strip clubs) I'll leave that up to him on other trips with his friends :wink2:.

Looking for some gambling and drinking opportunities that have great looking CW's or dealers.

Trying to keep this with a 300-400 dollar budget in mind.

Thanks for any and all of your help.

You may want to take him to Twin Peaks for a beer and/or dinner. The servers are attractive and close to his age.

Turning 21 and staying at Aria. Way to go in the "spoiling" department. LOL!

Guessing he has been drinking beer already, hit the pub in the back on Monte Carlo. Above avg bar food. Dueling pianos later.

Might want to hit some more basic places to gamble. MC or NYNY are close by and lots happening. I would do what my brother and I did on his first Vegas trip. Hit multiple casinos... play a little, move on.

    Curious...
    You're staying at ARIA...but you're only allowing a $350 TOTAL budget (for gaming/food/entertainment) ?
I'd say skip Vegas and go to Reno with that kind of budget (since you're in Placerville, you're much closer)
But if you're going to Vegas...definitely go off-strip or downtown for that kind of budget...
Anything on center strip is going to be $$$

    Some options:
-Downtown + various places on Fremont East
-Chandelier or Book+Stage @ cosmopolitan. Free drinks @ book+stage if you're playing video poker
-The lounge @ Planet Hollywood (right next to BurGR, don't know its formal name) had a decent band and was pretty full on a Monday night a few weeks ago, I'm sure it'll be hopping on the weekend. Their party pit is a hoot as well.
-The D downtown for some loud music, gambling, and eye candy. Love this place.
-Maybe the Palms, but I've never been there during a busy weekend.

    Hyde at Bellagio
    Mix at Mandalay Bay
    Coyote Ugly at NYNY
The list can go for days, but those are the ones I would start with

My first trip I remember being amazed at the size of the casinos so I loved just walking up and down the strip with my drink of choice in hand. Also, really enjoyed going to the top of the Stratosphere at night and taking in all of the lights. Both are very inexpensive.

There are some open bar opportunities that you can typically get a Groupon or Living Social deal for....most of the time around $40 or $50 per person with several hours of open bar.

I think your 300-400 budget is referring to your entertainment budget, not including room. So ignore the Circus Circus and downtown recommendations. :nono:

If I were going with my parents the last thing I would want to do were the type of things I'd do with my friend (Zumanity included based on the subject matter, but...).

My parents would show me, and what I would remember would be the things I wouldn't/couldn't do on my own. I'd consider taking him to a few very nice restaurants. The Aria corner sweet is a nice touch too. Maybe a helicopter ride? Make sure to give him some gambling money to roll the dice if he doesn't have any. (budget already blown, I know)

    Limo Driver mentioned:

    Hyde at Bellagio
    Mix at Mandalay Bay
    Coyote Ugly at NYNY

Getting him into Hyde is a great idea. Def take him to see all of Bellagio.
Mixx is great because of the view.
Coyote Ugly would be fun, not too expensive, and have some eye candy.

    Good luck and have fun.

Good point, maybe nix Zumanity if you haven't already bought the tickets. Just being out on the Strip and/or downtown, hitting various bars and casinos, etc will probably be way more fun for him.
