Debating on whether or not I want to go to a pool party in Vegas.

I'm traveling with my brother - just the 2 of us, aged 32 & 28. Do we want to go to a pool party....maybe?

There are some good presales for pool parties for the Memorial Weekend.

Being only 2 of us, we are not going to get a cananna and I guess that results in no place to sit.

Generally we like to use the pool as a place to wake up at, going at 9:00am, having some drinks and just winding up the day. We really like the Flamingo pool and are going to pay to get in there, one day. We are staying at Bally's and heard the pool scene can be fun there too. So do we want a pool party? I don't know.

Please share your experiences at a pool party.

Is it lame for 2 guys to go to a pool party?

I don't think so, and I'm 26. I think that Vegas is a great place to meet new people. I've gone down to Vegas before and gotten ditched by my buddys (Yes I know lol) but have met new friends at the hotel bar or wherever.

    I'd say you'll be fine.

Oh dear, this really is not as hard of a decision as you making it out to be. But i guess I tried to tell my girlfriend the same thing when changing clothes back and forth before going out on a big night.

My advice is to try it at least once so you can form your own opinion. Some people love it others hate it. I really dont understand why you have such a hard time deciding whether to go or not. If you dont like nightclubs this is probably not for you. But at least try it and then you know for sure, worst case your out 30 bucks.

You will see a lot of hot looking women in swimsuits and everybody is partying having a good time so im sure you and your brother will enjoy it as well.

That is probably the question that I am trying to figure out - haven't been to a night club in years (as I live in a small town with no night clubs). Not sure if I am too old for the club scene. Never been to a club in Vegas either.

Is about time you go ahead and try then. Even if you dont feel like its for you just watching the scenary will be an experience by itself. 32 and 28 is definatelly not to old.

was that just an excuse to see how many times you could use the term "pool party" in a single post?

as far as the question, I think they're lame. I'd rather just hang out and relax in a cabana/lounge chair.

What do I need to know about dress code, showing up early and forms of payment accepted at the pool bars?

Marquee on Friday May 24 with Arty

    OR

Encore Beach Club on Friday May 24 with Dirty South

    Both $30 pre-sale

too many prissy, prima donnas, loud frat boys who think they're cooler and better looking than you, lots of piss in the pool and overpriced drinks. if you're just going to lounge around and relax by the pool, there's no point really that I can see.

    I love pool parties

But I don't recommend being in the pools anymore.

Back in the early days at the Palms I could be in the pool with liquor and food and no worries. There was a floating center island and that was a great meeting place for drunks.

Now, since pool parties are 1,000 people I would not get in the pool. When I did the Flamingo Go Pool that was one of my rules. Do not get into the pool. Too much stuff in there and the filters cannot kee up.

I love getting a cabana. It is a good way to meet your neighbors in a cabana and if they happen to be attractive women, so much the better.

This picture was my two neighbors at the cabana I got. Too bad, they started to call me Uncle towards the end of the day.

A cabana might be fun, but for just 2 guys it will be a fortune, no?

I say you should go, wander around, look at the great eye candy, buy a few over-priced drinks, then leave and never go back there again.

Just one of those things that you can say you did in Vegas for the experience and to impress the folks back home, but you'd have to be a hardcore partier or very rich to properly enjoy it.

    pools

Every casino has some sort of a pool party. The biggest thing how much money do you want to spend? Do you want a private place to be able to bring ladies back to, more private than a lounge chair. Maybe pools do offer daybeds at a more affordable price. if your ok with $500 or less for a small cabana or daybed, then that's great way to go. Even then, some of the pools give you free entry but make you buy 2 drink minimum and that's $50 +.
