Last time I checked the high roller was 2 for 1 if you had total rewards platinum status. Just wondering if anyone knew if this was still available as the wife wants to check it out. I am okay with that as long as I can get the open bar too

As of the beginning of October, yep Platinums get BOGO for all of the CET monthly Tier Benefit shows, which includes the High Roller.

I'd mention you are planning to check it out when your checking in.
They are pretty generous with the passes (at times.)

Is open bar pod available with the 2 free/2 for 1 deals for diamond/platinum?

When I got my 2 free Diamond passes at the end of September, it was just for the normal cabin. Not sure if you can 'upgrade' into the open bar one.

For the 2-for-1 for Platinum deal, I don't really see a problem buying tickets for the open bar pod.

Last year they denied my request to upgrade our tickets to an open bar pod. We were using the 2 free tickets that came from Total Rewards Visa opening.
They did allow us to buy a $10 beer in the High Roller lobby to bring onto the ride.... not quite the same.

Have any diamonds attempted an upgrade? Or maybe that is a 7* only perk?

Last two times we've been there, we've used the 2 for 1 with my Platinum, and once the 2 Free with wife's Diamond. Neither could be upgraded to the bar pods, so we just went with the free trip, and made sure we took full drinks on board with us. We've done the bar pod previously too...it's cool, but I'm not sure worth paying for if you can get freebies...its' only a half hour.
