Thanks for the report and pics.

My comps always include the IP and I always toy with taking one, just ONCE- just for the balcony.

Your wonderful pics have cemented my choice...no freaking way could THIS JAP sleep in THAT white, sterile, boring room. Thanks!!:nworthy::thumbsup:

All I could think of..........SO MUCH WHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!! It would just totally freak me out. Course this is the 36D who manages to spill something right on the front of her everytime she wears something white....... so me and white are just not good friends.

Thanks for the trip report and pictures of the Rio. We will be staying there in July for the first time. It looks pretty decent.

    I too miss the Stardust.
And, can I ever relate to that elation of leaving the cold of northern Illinois for the warmth of Vegas and then being bummed as you board the plane for the return to frigidity a few days later.
Nice TR my fellow high school basketball fan.

Very nice report. I've thought about staying at the IP but the wife just looks at me like I've lost my mind and there is no discussion about it.

We stayed at IP on our first trip back in 2000. The room pics looked exactly like the room we had. Amazing report - really enjoyable read. Thanks for posting!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I really enjoy reading the trip reports here and I am glad people liked it.

Chef during my January trip it was WARMER in Chicago which is pathetic (43 in Chicago, 41 in Vegas). This trip was the first time over the past 4 trips that it was never warmer in Chicago than it at Vegas.

I never stayed at IP and my only knowledge of the casino was visiting my friend's crappy room in the early 1990s. The rooms appear cleaner now and was better than expected. IP is not a premier destination but one with good value with the low rates and I'll take it free.

I was REALLY impressed with the Rio rooms and will definitely stay in the Ipanema Room, Pool View again.

Another trip this Thursday (with a long drought til November unless I schedule one in between) and I'm getting psyched! Hoping to hit the M Resort, the New Gold Spike and checking Paris and Palms off of my Casino List.

    Viva, Viva Las Vegas!!!!
