    My Trip Report

First Trip Report so bear with me....

Wife and I received an offer for Cosmo from a local casino in illinois. The offer was for 2 free nights in a king bed studio (no date restrictions), $50 free play and $50 food credit. We ended up going in Dec during the nascar awards banquet.

We were able to book a thurs and friday night at cosmo with no problems. Flew out of milwaukee early thurs morning with southwest. There was a huge head wind which made our flight go from 3 hr 45 min to 4 hr and 40 min. Finally arrived in LAS. We left milwaukee in the 40's and arrived in vegas for 40's again. The only few days they had colder temps, we showed up.

So we head down to baggage claim and our limo driver is waiting there. He has a suit on with a baseball cap on, interesting compared to other drivers. We get our luggage and he takes us over to cvs to get some beer. On the way to the hotel he was on the phone twice talking about his insurance claims and girfriend concernning a cycle accident he was in. Overall didnt think he was to professional.

Check in was quick, no upgrades offered but we did get the quiet west tower.
Rooms are very nice and the patio is pretty cool. Had a south view facing Aria and luxor. Used our $50 food credit for breakfast room service, very good also.

Only time we gambled at Cosmo was when i received my $50 free play in two $25 chips. Went to a BJ table and won both hands and stayed for one more then cashed out. That casino was dead on thursday and friday night.

The wife cashed in with some free myvegas deals. We redeemed two tickets at Zarkana. It was ok compared to other cirque shows.

I surprised my wife with blueman tickets for thursday night at Monte Carlo. We were selected to be the late couple for the show which was cool. The new revamped show is very nice. Love the blueman!!!

The nascar parade and burnout down the strip is very cool if your a race fan.
They start at PH head north to wynn then turn around and each of the top 13 drivers do burnouts in the intersection of ph and city center.

I will say though the city needs to enforce more laws about what people can do on the bridge crossings. The bridge from bellagio to caesars there were people selling fake sunglasses on a card table. Then the bridge from ballys to the old bill's, they were playing games on where the balls is under the cup. We had street gambling going on lol.

Gambling was pretty good to..mainly played BJ and slots at Bellagio. Ended the trip winning at home with a 5 team parley and 4 team parley for sundays football.

Overall it was a great trip for my wife and I . We both had a very good time!!!

Totally agree about the vagrants on the walking bridges. I mentioned it in my recent trip report too.

Why did you not gamble more at cosmo?

Just wondering what your level of play was at the Cosmo before receiving that offer? Sounds like a good one!

Thats the best part, we never gambled at Cosmo. Rivers Casino down in Des Plaines Illinois sent us the offer. Not sure what connection they have with Cosmo. They also give us offers for the tropicana. We played once at Rivers and it wasnt that much play.

We also received an offer at the nugget for $100 free play and took advantage of that. Walked away with $90 so that was a nice profit. Also checked out the new Downtown Grand. Very nice inside, didnt think the lady luck casino was a smaller casino. Overall very open and nice. Hope they do well being a block off of Fremont Street.

The wife stayed on the slots, the willy wonka slots were pretty cool and somewhat generous with payouts. I played BJ at Bellegio. They still have a few hand shuffle tables, just have to look for them. I can not do anything on the continuous shuffle games.

Came home few hundred up so overall cant complain.

Heading to vegas this afternoon. I had no idea Rivers was associated with Cosmo. That's kind of strange.

I have to disagree with you on this. I like these vendors and go out of my way to visit them, especially the sunglasses and purse ones. As long as you know they are fakes it's fine. I've had to replace sunglasses that broke while there, and this was perfect. I even went home, found the place where these people order them online and have ordered several dozen over the years. I give them to everyone I know. They are less than $2 a piece, so it doesn't matter if they break or you lose them.
