It will not get here soon enough, and I still haven't written my trip report for the trip I took a couple weeks ago! Gotta write something out! Trip is with my SO, her sister and her sister's husband (who I actually work alongside of and is how I met my SO). The trip is for a bachelor and bachelorette party that will actually be about 40 people that my SO and sister know, so it will be a big group! Me and my SO get there a day earlier than everyone else, so far this is what I have planned: Get in on a Thursday, staying at Aria under an offer for $174 after taxes and resort fee, plus $100 resort credit. I am trying to decide to keep that reservation, paying basically $74 because we will use at least $100 in the casino, or buy a free night at Monte Carlo (more on this in a second). Thursday afternoon pool time, then I bought a Groupon a couple trips ago to go to the Minus 5 Ice bar and never used it, the money I paid is still valid ($44) but the offer is not. To supplement that drunken mistake to buy a Minus 5 Groupon, I bought 2 free entry with myVegas points, and can use the original $44 for drinks inside! The other option is, I cancel the Minus 5 Groupon and a Groupon for $10 FP at Aria (since I am only there 1 night) and buy a free night at Monte Carlo (basically worth $74 in my mind because that is what I don't pay at Aria, so I pose the question to everyone, is it worth it?) Later on Friday evening we will hit up some happy hours at Cosmo, which I love doing, and probably go easy if I can. My SO may want to go dance so we may end up in a Latin club off the strip. Friday we have until about 4 till everyone else shows up. I used my Sterling card reward of 1 free night to book Friday and Saturday at basically buy 1 get 1 free for $600 total. Last few times I tried the $20 trick there I was unsuccessful (along with a few huge conventions this weekend really driving up the prices of rooms everywhere) so I just went ahead and booked the View in a studio terrace for the extra money. I had originally booked Aria under an offer for all nights and it came to $450 for Friday and Saturday, so I will gladly pay the extra $150 to stay at Cosmo, it would have only been an extra $75 if I just went with the City Room with no balcony, but that is no fun in Vegas during September! I plan on checking in right after Aria checkout and still trying the $20 trick to get the 1 bedroom because I like the layout despite the flaws in the curtains and layout some have debated on here. After checkin, more pool time! My favorite was the Blvd pool because of the cool chairs that are in the pool. Usually I can't stand to just lay in the pool for too long, but they make it perfect! During and after pool time the rest of the crew will start to trickle in, I will get enough room keys so anyone can come join us at Cosmo, but everyone else is staying at Paris for about the same price I paid for Cosmo. That night I have a myVegas Gold Club award for a table I am going to use for 6 of us (SO, sister and coworker), going to need to decide who to invite as the other 2 (limit on reward). Get tanked with them and go to a club, we will have even ratio so I will get on the guest list wherever. Saturday, hopefully I drank my pedialyte. I assume the group will decide, but from what I have heard, we are getting a limo for the night, going to a strip club, then going back to club Chatue in Paris. I let them know it was one of the lower rated clubs and we should check out Marquee, Light, or even Haze, but just suggested it because I do not want to be in charge of organizing any event of any kind for a bunch of strangers. Flight back is Sunday at 5pm so I can watch the 10am Charger game and make some bets if I have any money left... Anyone know of a good latin club on a Thursday night? Strip would be nice, but within a 5-10 min taxi ride is ok. My lady is Peruvian and doesn't want to dance to house for 3 days.
