Now this picture is from 2008, but I mean, this HAS to be a huge screw-up!
I see its only for Nickles, and from the blog, it was at MGM Grand...
But I ran the numbers through Wizard Of Odds, and I got 131% payback??
I can't figure out the name of the game.. But I imagine it would have to be some form of JoB?!
Now, if they could only make this mistake again...hahaha

Maybe it's some form of Pick Em?

I believe this is standard payback for a royal on any non progressive 9/6 game.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the rest of the pay table, not the royal itself, and yes I would never leave this machine either, especially if it went higher than nickles!

Photoshop? Is there more to the story, was it in a tournament area or something? I can't imagine that a paytable that generous would ever be on the floor of a casino.

I'm going with photoshop or some guy's personally owned machine in his basement with a modified pay table.

    Link to the blog please.

I would like to read more about this.

No way a newer machine would let you program this though.

Normally, in the lower left of the screen it will display the name of the game being played, however, in the image you posted it's cropped/chopped off.

There has never been (as far as I know) a casino video poker machine that would pay 600 for any for of a kind that still pays 10 on 2 pair, and 15 or more on trips. And 10 coins for a pair of aces!

Something's not quite right here tim.

If that was on the floor at MGM there would have been a line-up longer than the lions share to play.

I don't think so. As good as the payback is, it's still just a one line nickel machine.

800 hands/hr x $0.25 x .30 = $60 hr expected profit. and with that paytable it's very low variance. I would imagine you would be hard pressed to risk ruin with a $20.

It would cost the casino around a half million dollars a year if played regularly.

A speedy player could average about $75/hr on that unit...sounds better than real work to me...

Unfortunately if you read the blog, it sounds like they had no idea about the paytable. They were just happy they hit the royal.

    Yup, exactly.
In 2008, I would imagine even if they had multiple units, it still wouldn't be played all that much (Being it was only 5c and "couldn't win much")
Also, in 2008, Video Poker wasn't as "known" as it is now...
But still..WTF?! This just has to be a huge ERROR on setting the paytables...but on the settings, it works via a slider and shows the payback %...I've never seen one go ABOVE 100%

I'm still trying to figure out what game it is...It CAN'T be Jacks-Or-Better, with the HUGE payout on the 4oak...but it can't be Pick'Em, like Scot said because it shows 4 cards held...and it can't be a Double-Down Stud, because it only has 5 coins bet...

Like others have said...it has virtually ZERO Risk of Ruin! So, you could almost sit with a $20 and never leave (and if it were available in quarters, I'd put a couple hundred in AND NEVER LEAVE! hahaha

I'd rather have one invented that took me forward so I could see what the next winning Mega - Lotto numbers are going to be
