Always stayed on the strip and this time decided to stay on Fremont at the Golden Nugget. Been downtown may times but was wondering what are the must sees while downtown. Heard the Golden Nugget is great. Looking forward to my 12th and my 40th birthday gift...:wink2:

The GN is great and downtown is fun. Hopefully you are staying in the good tower at the GN. Happy birthday.....:peace:

x2 and the water slide at the pool. Not a big fan of downtown but there is usually lots of free entertainment walking fremont. And lots of places to get huge drinks!

The Rush Tower is the nicer of the Golden Nugget towers, but everything in the Nugget is pretty nice. If you've made 12 trips to Vegas so far, and you haven't been there yet, you probably shouldn't miss the Neon Museum.

The mob museum is a couple of blocks north. It's pretty cool if you're into that kind of thing.

Meander down to Fremont east and hit up the EL Cortez. Or go the other way and make your way over to the Cal and on to MSS. I love the Sunday Buffet at MSS.

Marv, I think the Gold Club rooms are just as nice as Rush Tower rooms but they waive the spa/workout fee if you are staying Gold Club, plus you can use the VIP check in. So if the cost benefit works out, try for that.
