10/11-11/15 trip report

Things started off not too well. Our Southwest flight was delayed 3 hours because of bad weather up north. We finally got to Vegas around 1:30am instead of 10:30pm. Dad and I dropped our bags and headed downstairs. We planned to only do a quick loop around the casino and head back upstairs to get some sleep because we were renting a car the next day. We decided to play a couple of slot machines before heading to the room and next thing we know it is almost 5:00, time goes by so fast out there. I hit $720 on a dollar machine and $500 on a 5 dollar machine. Dad did not hit anything. I went to bed up $1100.00 and dad was down around $500
Things started early the next day. Dad wakes up at 6:00 and is ready to go. We have only been asleep for an hour. We grab some breakfast and play some slots until it is time rent the car. After getting the car we go to Hoover Dam. It was awesome. I have seen pictures of it, but to see it in person was a different story. We did not take the tour but we did park and walk around some. After Hoover we drove to Lake Las Vegas. Not really impressed with that place. Been there, done that, would not go back. Then we stopped at a couple of casinos. We stopped at Fiesta Henderson for about thirty minutes. Neither one of us liked it so we went to Sams Town. We stayed at Sam's Town for a few hours, we both found a couple of hot 50 cent machines. I ended up cashing out $650 and dad cashed out $400. We headed back to Flamingo because dad had to pick up a Macys gift card by 4:00. We turned in the car, got the gift card, went to Harrahs. This is where my good luck on slots stops and my dad's starts. We are in the dollar Blazzin 7's room for an hour and dad hits an $8000.00 jackpot. After he signs and collects we head back to Flamingo. We are both wiped out from no sleep the night before so head to the room around 8:00, order room service, then go to bed. I am up $1000 and dad is up $6500 for the trip.
We wake up around 8:00 and head down around 9:00. We walk around for about an hour and dad finds a couple of dollar Cash Wheel machines he wants to play. He says "I am going to put a hundred in each and then we get something to eat." He stays on those same machines for 15 HOURS!!!!!! While he is playing them I am walking around and losing on every machine I play. We started drinking when he sat the those machines so we are both feeling no pain. Around midnight I go get a pizza and bring it to him and we eat the machines he has been at all day and night. He finally stops around 1:00am and we go to bed. I am down $1000 and dad is up $5800 for the trip.
Wake up around 7:00, eat breakfast, and start walking down the strip. We stop at Osheas, Wynn, Treasure Island, Mirage, and eat at Toby Keith's. I went to the top of Effiel Tower that night for some pics and played a little before heading to bed. Neither one of us hit anything worth talking about. I am down $1200 and dad is up $5600 for the trip.
Wake up around 7:00 and pack. Play slots a couple of hours before heading to the airport. Of course I didn't hit anything but dad hit a little. Flight home was uneventful. I lost $1500 and dad won $6000 for the trip. Had a blast and I am looking forward to my next trip.
