I think it's very telling that they have 850,000 players but only 100,000 have redeemed rewards. Goes a lot of way to explain why so many people seem to care only about chip amounts and not LPs. I'd really love to know the number of people that have purchased chips in the past that haven't redeemed any rewards

Could be people that are playing but haven't made it to Vegas yet but will soon? Guess it all depends on the recent growth of the game

There's definitely some of that but if you go to any of the Facebook fan pages you will post after post of people saying they don't care about LPs. PlayStudios even lowered the number of LPs from strip collection because of people complaining that they wanted more chips over LPs.

When they did that reduction though, they lowered the collections of chips as well.

I don't understand people that play this game that never intend to redeem rewards in Vegas. There are tons better slot games to play on Facebook. Games that are casino clones, etc.

That is interesting- what is the point of playing then if they weren't planning on going there and redeeming anything..

It's simple: there are people playing MyVegas for the slot games. That's part of the reason China Mystery is so important as they are getting a real slot in their inventory and there is a lot more Konami can offer. There are alot of Facebook casino apps where people buy chips and play religiously with no connection to casinos. That means that the people who do redeem LPs are more serious about visiting Vegas and are probably regulars. My sense of why rewards are changing and tightening up is that MGM isn't getting the return they need because people are doing hit and runs.
