Last trip played lots of Strip bartop 25c VP - pretty much all 7/5 JOB, 6/5 BP. At 50c or $1 at the bartops will the pay tables improve at all?

My guess would be no. Pay tables will sometimes improve from penny or nickle play when you go up to quarters, but not usually when you go up even higher. I'm sure there are some exceptions. It's possible that dedicated $.50 or $1 machines at other locations in the casino would have better pay tables. In some casinos, bartops have worse pay tables than can be found on the casino floor. So you "pay" for the free drinks with worse pay tables.

You just got to poke around...

Some places do have full-pay bartop VP, even at the quarter or 50 cent level.

www.vpfree2.com is a good resource to look at.

Main Street Station, for example, has 9/6 JoB at the quarter level. (And the dollar level.)

The Suncoast has 9/6 BDlx at the quarter level.

One of the bars at The Gold Coast has 9/6 JoB at the 50 cent level.

    Happy playing.

P.S. Edit-- sorry, I realize you specified STRIP properties... and my suggestions are downtown and off-strip...

Some Strip bartops do improve at higher denoms. Aria and Cosmo used to go up to 9/5 JOB for dollars. Aria still might but I read Cosmo tightened.
Wynn bartops have different pay tables for each denom, but you'll never catch me playing them since they don't comp drinks at the bar!

As of a few months ago the City Bar at Aria still had $1 9/5 JoB and $5 9/6 JoB. They also offered the double up option, the same games on the main floor did not.

The other Aria bars supposedly carry the same games but I can't personally confirm it the way I can for City Bar.

I only play DDB, so this might not hold true for BP/JOB...but I think most strip bar tops have better pay tables for $1 (vs. quarter). Recently (past 6-12 months), I've noticed a difference at Mirage, Wynncore (though no comp'd drinks at bar tops), Aria and MGM.

Not really an answer to your original question, but the bartops at Casino Royale have 8/5 Bonus for quarters. Friendly barkeeps & quick service.

And 9/6 DDB at the $0.25 level at the bar. Love playing both at CR.

Casino Royale has been downgraded, the best you'll find in the casino is 7/5 Bonus now I think. I double checked the floor and thats the best I saw. I didn't check the bartops, as they were full, but the downgrade at the bar was reported in May.

As for other strip properties, I'm pretty sure that CET never changes with denomination. Best game is 7/5 TB+ (97.67%), then 6/5 Bonus (96.87%), and then 8/5 DDB (96.79%). The rest aren't worth touching.

MILFe properties, I think they may change for some games by denomination, but I'm not too sure since I can't afford dollars. :(
