does anyone have any idea where the VIP seats that casino marketing gives out are located? I have tickets for a concert in October and am very curious to know the section the seats will be in (MGM won't confirm until we arrive for our stay and pick up our tickets). Anyone been to any of the concerts in this section? Thanks!

Comp tickets can be almost anywhere in the arena. Your player status and the cost/demand for tickets will determine how good the seats are. If it is just a "normal" concert and you are a decent player, your tickets should be on the floor within the first 25 rows. Again depending on the show, there may not be a special VIP area - just blocks of seats with others who got comps too. Don't assume a "comp" ticket will be a "VIP" ticket. If you are getting VIP seats, you will likely get a laminate to wear around your neck. The laminate allows you to get free food and drinks at the arena.

Casino marketing kept referring to the seats as VIP. I'm not a High Roller or anything, but I am MLife Platinum and play a fair amount.

Based on the one concert I did with VIP tickets, they can be less than exciting locations.

Really easy for them to use the term VIP.

I also have the VIP seat threw Mlife for concert in October. You are correct in saying that they won't confirm we're the seat are. There are usually two different ticket levels for these seats. For my Jimmy Buffet concert there is either a $200 VIP seat or a $100 VIP seat. Do you know what level you are at?

I was nervous about where the seats would be so I called my host at Monte Carlo and asked him if I should just book my own tickets for the concert because I wanted a good seat and would be very upset if I wasn't on the floor and somewhat close. I have the $200 level tickets and he told me to not book my own tickets as I would be very happy with where we would end up. So if that gave me some hope that the seats should be pretty good.

Your concert doesn't happen to be on the 18th of Oct does it?

The concerts I'm attending are over Halloween (10/31, 11/01, 11/02). I'm glad to be in for all 3 sold out shows, I just wish I could confirm where the seats are located!

They simply do not assign comp seats in advance. The good news is that there are not a lot of high rollers who are into Phish (relatively speaking, at least), so your chances of good seats are better. The bad news (from a VIP seat perspective) is that the entire floor is GA. If you want GA floor tickets, just ask and I am sure you will get them. Otherwise, I suspect you will have decent lower level seats in section 12, 13, 14, or 15.

from what im hearing they held very few seats for that show as per bands request, yes the floor is all ga, also rember the band does there own fan club mail order where alot of tickets are pre sold.

also there are no vip tickets for this show as its one ticket price 60$ for any ticket.

i guess just be happy your in the building as halloween is a bitch of a ticket, the band ,livenation will take the best tics i assume the seats will be somewhere in the lower bowl section.

im also comped for the shows but i know there are very few comps for it,

Thanks for the info... I'll be perfectly happy with anywhere in the lower level. I could do floor one night, but not all 3 nights - that's a young man's game!
