Not sure if this has been posted already, but I went to the SugarFactory at the Mirage to get my cherry sour balls that I love to have while playing the Burning 7's slots. Seems as if they are moving locations on Sept 5th, I asked where they are moving to and they were very vague. Said something like 'it's a surprise'. I'm assuming the Mirage asked them not to say where. I wonder what is going to go into that space?

The myvegas reward for SugarFactory used to say Mirage. It now says MGM Grand. I'm not sure if that helps..

I did not even realize they had a Sugar Factory at the Mirage. Me personally I find the idea of spending $25 for a celebrity lollypop gives me a case of the "sour balls".

Just a guess but I bet they are going back by the other shops. I wonder if Starbucks wants the space they are in right now and it's small for Sugar factory anyway. They might put it next to the tattoo place, for all the trendy people. :evillaugh

That's because there is also a Sugar Factory at MGM Grand

There are myVegas Rewards for both MGM Grand and Mirage, but not Paris since myVegas is tied to mLife.

As of 8/13/2014, the myVegas reward states that the reward can be used at either the Mirage or MGM Grand locations.

They didn't really say "It's a surprise," did they?

yes, when I asked i was told 'it's a surpise', I thought maybe the employee was just making up different answers, being that everyone was asking. But I was in there long enough to hear 2 different employees answer that question to about 5 other customers. I knew that it was probably sent down from upper management. I bet it's an agreement between MGM Properties and SugarFactory since they are probably moving to a CET property.

I can't figure it out, are there really that many people buying candy in las vegas? At least the one at Paris LV has a restaurant attached. For a city that has evolved past wanting to be a family vacation destination it seems funny they keep opening candy stores and Walgreens.

Personally I love those dam cherry sour balls, but I agree with you. I was shocked to see even one shop like that open in Vegas, then when I learned how many there were of just the SugarFactory alone, not to mention Hersheys and M&Ms. What's even worse is the friggin pricing. There better be some dam gold in that chocolate bar.

Is Vegas really going LESS family friendly-ish? I thought it was going more the other way. You see things like the High Roller (a glorified big ass ferris wheel) and reports that casinos are pulling in less from gaming and more from ancillary services like clubs, pools, shopping, and amenities... granted not all of those things qualify as "family" type activities. Maybe it's just the late 80s and 90s with things like the Excalibur and pirate ships at the TI swung too far in the family direction.
