hooters vs downtown grand questions

Hello,

I am torn between staying at hooters mainly for the pool

I am also considering downtown grand as they hsve a nice pool

But is it dead still?

I am also concerned hooters rooms may be rundown and dirty

 

DTG pool is very nice and so are the rooms. In June I would still call it dead, but they have changed their VP paytables since then, so maybe that has changed things. Even if it is still dead there, you're only a block walk to Fremont St. Shorter than the walk from Hooters to the Strip.

No contest. DTG on a dead day beats hooters on NYE.

If you are looking for a pool scene I would suggest elsewhere.

 

For me it would all depend on where I will be most of the time. If I'm going to be on the strip then Hooters would be a better place to stay. If downtown then the DTG. Yes, if you compare hotels, casinos and rooms then the DTG would be better hands down but if you are going to be on the strip most of the time I would rather stay close to where I would be gambling and visiting. But that's JMHO.

 

Hooter's is fine. I have stayed there twice. If you can a strip view room it's a better view than most hotels "on the strip". If you get a dirty room (which can happen anywhere) just ask to move.

It's quicker to the strip than most MGM rooms.
