My friend has offers from both CET and MLIFE properties. Can he use both of them for the same nights and give one of those rooms to a friend after he checks into both hotels?
yes , just rember if he doesnt play enough to cover the room comp he offers will dry up and his adt will go down
In a word, yes. Obviously, your friend should trust the person who's getting his room. And I'd recommend that he check in with his friend and have his friend's name put on the room along with his name so the friend can get a replacement key or charge things to the room (provided he does indeed trust his friend and/or uses his friend's credit card for the deposit on the room). However, unless your friend gives his normal level of play to both CET and MGM during this trip, his future offers might suffer (from whichever company he short plays). So he should bear that in mind when deciding whether or not the free room for his buddy is "worth it".
correct to adding his name to the room,he can get a key when he gets locked out, but dont have him go to checkin with u. what i do to make check out easy and others disagree, have the person not charge anything to the room, let him pay for everything in cash or with his credit card so, you will have a very easy check out, the room will be a zero balance so you have nothing worry , about. thats the easist way to do it. thats jut my opinion
Good advise. I've checked in for my buddies before since I get multi comp rooms for my trips. Since they are short and to collect the offers I have to book a room?? so I let them have the room. Well got hit with some mini bar charges because they just picked up the items to look at them and then put them back but I got charged. It was a mess because I did not know if they actually took the items or just looked at them. From now on. I'm not doing that again. The ADT part never bother me since I have a good running average with CET and MGM but man Wynn and Cosmopolitan. I can figure out there comp system. I trip I'm given everything FP dinning credit and Parlor Suite or 1 bedroom suite, the next I get a city or reg room and no FP or food??? I think you should be good since it is CET and MLIFE. Just have the person staying use their credit card to check in.
That won't work. The credit card has to be in the name of the person who received the original offer. That's why you need to make sure the friend won't screw you.
Okay, some logic here. 1 - Can you use both comps at once. Answer - yes. They are for you, so YOU have to check in. They are different companies, so no issue booking/using both. 2 - Next - can you let someone else use your room? Of course. It is your room, just like when you pay for it. You can add your friend as a 2nd person in the room as if you were traveling together, or just give him a key. It is still your room. Your responsibility. Folks come here often and ask the question that can be answered in #1 and #2 without any insider secret, etc. Now, the next part is trickier. As mentioned, the casino is giving you a room with an expectation that you will gamble at a certain level. They will track your play, even if at zero and decide your future offers based on that.
correct u will have to leave your card down thats why i suggest , they pay cash or just use the credit card when the buying something so u have a zero balance, makes life easier
We have done rooms for others many times. I make it clear: Do not charge anything to the room. Do not TOUCH anything in the minibar. Even looking at it will incur a charge. I have also used the following, depending on who it is and how much comp money I have. Charge any drinks you want to the room. Pay the TIP in CASH. CASH ONLY.
Next question is Does he have to put his credit card down for both rooms or can the person actually staying in that room put his credit card down?
If they check in TOGETHER, I would expect one party that is "staying" in the room can say - "Put all charges on MY card".
This is correct. Confirmed last week at Cosmo. Comp rooms = mine, Credit Card = his. No problem (they even put his email on the reservation in order to send the charges to him).
just a thing to rember if your checking in with another guy and taking one king bed ,it will look alittle strange to them rember there not that stupid, i perfer not to have the other person at checkin,just my opinion
That's not correct. I've booked HUNDREDS of room nights that I've given to friends to use and when we check in they hand over their CC and ID even though the room is originally in my name. Never ever had a problem. I lived in Vegas for 12 years and played at a lot of places, at one point I could have stayed in a room at one place or another for a year straight if I wanted to.
This is completely untrue at CET, Cosmo or mlife. I've had friends and others put their card down at check in countless times even though I am the 'offered player'.
I have also checked in with friends and had the friends put their CC on the room. As long as the player is there at check-in, it shouldn't a be a problem. Now if the friend is checking in, without the player that the room belongs too, then that's a different story.
