I just got offers for comped rooms, freeplay, and free buffets at either Caesars AC or Harrah's AC. I've never stayed at either hotel although I did visit the Caesars casino on my last visit to AC last month. Can anybody out there give me an idea which would be the better stay? Caesars definitely has the name recognition, but I hear that the marina hotels are much nicer than anything on the Boardwalk. Anyone have suggestions?

My choice would be Harrah's because of the location. Much nicer area in the Marina with better neighbors. The Borgota and Golden Nugget are both a 5 min car ride away or even a short walk on a nice day.

Harrah's pool is all you could ask for and it's indoors if it happens to rain while your there, if not, there is a sundeck upstairs complete with bar and servers.

The Deck, complete with eats and drinks, at the Golden Nugget, again, just a few minute away, has a great spot overlooking Farley State Marina, loaded with great looking boats and a view of the Atlaantic City skyline. The name Borgota speaks for itself.

If you want to spend time on the boardwalk, Harrah's has free (for guest) to all it properities oceanfront.

Harrahs AC. Much better experience than Caesars AC. Funny how it is the extreme opposite when in Vegas.

+1 w/ Harrahs. I would only do Caesars if you have family that want to spend time on the beach while you play.

You did not mention if you had any interest in the beach or brdwlk. I would agree Harrahs is a good choice. However i do not like the food selection at Harrahs. However with borgota and GN only 5 mins away it is usually not a problem

Harrahs is my choice over Caesars. I happen to be staying at Caesars this Sunday only because they comped me Donny and Marie tickets with a room. Normally the choice would be Harrahs. Stay away from the Harbor tower. A tip at check in could get you into the Waterfront or Bayview tower(but a good walk to the casino). My wife and I like to stay in the Atrium suite tower. The suites are nothing special except it has a sitting room in front, but the location of the elevators can't be beat. They let you down right in the middle of the casino. Bills is a good place for a quick bite. Sammy D's is overrated, over priced and not that good. Good food court, and some nice dinning on the second floor.

    Have fun.

Agree that Harrahs is the better of the 2 options. Caesars had gotten a bit rundown last time I was over that way.

Caesars isn't that bad as some posters have said. The rooms are refurbished and you can walk thru to Bally's(Ballys is really showing it's age). I like the restaraunt Mia as well. One of our faves. Also a short walk to the outlets.Harrahs is nicer in the casino but it is isolated by the marina. Walk to Golden nugget isn' that bad. Borgata is great but kind of a hike.
If you are Diamond the Caesras DL is fun. Love the Bartenders Ray and Anthony. Ballys Diamond Lounge has the best bar in AC. Fantastick views. The Diamond lounge at Harrahs is nice and has more food options than Caesars and Bally''s . Also remeber that AC Diamond Lounges charge 1000RC's if you don't have 25,000 tier points.

Live in NJ and go to AC frequently. Harrahs is the better option.

In summertime, boardwalk can be overwhelmed with tourists and feel crowded and uncomfortable.
In fall/winter - the pool at Harrahs trumps everything. Such a nice option to help relax.

Also, the deck has many great free concerts you can attend.

Only after 11pm. But Harrah's also gets full of older party people on the other side of the casino on weekends. Harrah's is a fun place.
