So I have comped rooms for my trip on December 19-22 with some friends of mine from College to celebrate some of their 21st birthdays/Las Vegas Bowl. Originally, we were going for the cheapest option we could find. (Which was originally Excalibur including fees & taxes.) Then I realized to log in my TR account, and see that I have free rooms available at some CET properties while i'm down. So now the bigger question is, which of the 4 resorts should I book for this weekend of recklessness?
    My Options are:
    Bally's
    Paris
    Harrah's
    Flamingo.

I realize that they aren't the best of options obviously, but splitting just resort fees sounds a lot cheaper than splitting a room and fees. At least from a College/Budgeter point of view.

    Cheers!

My choice would be Paris. It's the nicest of the 4 properties and the location is really good.

I would go Paris - it's connected to ballys but is very easy walk to Planet Hollywood and the Cosmo which is where I would want to be if I were your age

My folks and I stayed to Planet Hollywood last year and if that was an option, I'd take that in a heartbeat!
If I didn't leave early monday, comps were available for Sunday and Monday night. PH is definitely one of my favorites on the strip, if not my overall favorite.

What is your rate calendar showing for PHo? If it is your favorite, is it worth it to you to spend a few bucks to stay there instead of the comps?

If Planet Hollywood is not comped, i would choose Paris. I have PHO comped in a couple of weeks as well as November. But stick with Paris and spend lots of time at PHO and Cosmo. I normally would say Flamingo because of the pool, but Santa will be arriving soon after you do, so no pool.......although you can enjoy bikini clad girls at Margaritaville.

Paris definitely. Nicest of the bunch, best location (IMO)

Rate Calendar is showing me $126 for Friday and Saturday night if I book with 4 people. If I book with 2, it was $66. Paris regardless with 4 people is still comped the whole way through. So I'm thinking that may be the winner.

Agree with Paris based on rooms and location. If your planning to party, the location can't be beat; especially with the clubs around there. I don't consider pools due to the time of year. If you're planning to low roll the trip, i'd go with Harrahs. Very close to cheap eats at Casino Royale and cheap drinks there as well.

I have a feeling we'll be wasted away in Margaritaville. :drunk:
That or cheering on some random Pac-12 team at the Las Vegas Bowl!

We're planning to do a little bit of both! I have a gut feeling I'll be hitting up the $1 Michelobs over at Casino Royale!

This, exactly. Even for college kids, I just don't get the appeal of Flamingo. Every morning I take a run up the strip and the Flamingo area always reeks of sewer.

At Paris you are minutes away from PH, Cosmo and just a bit further to Aria, all of which at your age (and mine) are a lot of fun. I'm not sure what your "gaming" levels are, but I'm a lowish roller ($500 a day bankroll), and in my experience you get one chance at a Paris comp at that level. I used mine that same week you are going, back in December of 2012, and have had very few comped rooms at Paris show up on my calendar since then. So I'd take advantage of it.

I like Paris as well but........ Aren't the Bally's rooms some of the largest? 2 Q's in a Paris room will not leave much room for 4 suitcases much less 4 guys.

I'd opt for the larger room. Plus the food court has been remodeled and you have their sports book right there

4 guys on a budget might also appreciate the easy walk to Ellis Island for good cheap food

Great breakfast specials and the good steak dinner deal.
