How busy would the golden nugget be on say August 19ish? Would it be worth it to reserve for 25 bucks in "the hideout"? What are the good times for the pool in late august?

    thanks

The GN pool is always busy in the summer, if you aren't out there by 10:30am you probably won't get two seats together. We always go out there by 9:30 before they let you in the pool @ 10am just so we can get 3 chairs together.

After 10:00 in the morning, the main pool is always packed. It is not easy to find a seat unless you get there before 10:00. The pool itself fills up with children. A good time to use the pool is after 4:00. It's less crowded but also less sunny. If you don't mind crowds and children, then try for a daytime seat. If you'd rather have an adults-only atmosphere and a guaranteed seat, then spring for the hideout pool. For me, it was worth the money.

We just returned from a stay at the GN- On Thursday morning we headed to the pool at 9:30. Main pool completely packed, lots of chairs being "saved" by towels. Adult pool doesn't open until 10. We came back right at 10 and the pool host said we could chose from 5 remaining loungers that weren't prebooked. 25 bucks apiece. It was worth it..stayed until 3pm. I'd reserve a chair as soon as you check in for the next day..you do it at the concierge/ticket desk at check in area. Have fun!
