Downtown Hotel/Casino (Fremont Experience) Which has the nicest accommodations? I was thinking The D, from hearing about it on this board. We will only stay for one night before we check-in on the strip...Thanks in Advance!!

Rush Tower rooms at the GN. Far and away the best rooms downtown. Just stayed there last week and they were better than most of the rooms I've stayed in on the strip.

GN is the nicest hotel downtown. I think Main Street would be a good second choice.

Another vote for Rush Tower at the Golden Nugget. The Rush Gold Club rooms are especially nice.

The d is great. I have a picky wife and she loved it. Clean updated rooms and a party atmosphere.

I've stayed at Fitzgerald's (now the D), the Plaza, the Four Queens and the Nugget. I've loved them all, but the "nicest" is the Nugget. We stayed in the Gold Tower and the rooms were great. Very comfortable bed, coffeemaker, safe, vanity table/chair, and they brought us a small fridge for medication. Very accommodating.

I love The D... there is no long walk to the casino like you have to make at the Golden Nugget.
When you take the elevator on your floor at The D ... it opens onto the casino. The rooms are just as nice as the ones I stayed in at GN and you avoid the "blocks long walk" each time you want to play or eat in the casino proper. And Andiamos is a great restaurant... once again... it's right off the elevator.

Golden Nugget and i don't think it's even close. The entire property is far and away the nicest downtown.

100% agreed! Though it's true, many other downtown properties have improved immensely over the past few years.

If you are comparing Golden Nugget Carson Tower to The D, then I tend to agree. However, the remaining rooms at Nugget are better than The D.

I like all the rooms at GN, but Rush Tower and Gold Tower are the best (Gold easiest/quickest access to the casino floor and Fremont). Can't go wrong anywhere in GN.

    Hi,

Can't go wrong with the Golden Nugget. We have stayed there on several trips, one in the basic room and the last trip in the Rush tower. Both rooms were spacious, clean, and beds were comfy. Hope this helps.:)

Golden Nugget by quite a bit, especially the Rush tower.

Plaza, The D, Downtown G are all remodeled and a good 2nd tier.
