I have memories of going there with my sister when I was 19 and she was only 17. We were with our Dad at Ballys for a work trip. O:wave:f course we had to sneak out and go wandering around! It will bring back some good memories and maybe a little bit of luck!

I think you'll enjoy taking a look-see at what they've done with the area.

We strolled through a few weeks ago and got a kick out of trying to remember where everything was once situated.

Have a great time reminiscing, and good luck on your trip.

I think the place looks great. And now they are redoing the rooms. Best place to stay for me.

This was my first and second hotel that I stayed in Vegas. Many times now I stay right next door at Harrah's. The refurb looks great and it is still probably still my favorite casino to gamble. Plus, I've always had great CW service there.

Same here, I usually stay at Flamingo or Bally's but do most of my gambling at the (IP) (QUAD), Linq, whatever they are calling it this week! I love the remodel.

I can get a really good rate for the Quad for Feb 2015. They show only renovated rooms, good location. Worth taking a shot? Will there still be lots of construction going on?

Make sure you play the first machine you see when you enter the casino from las vegas blvd because it is the only machine in all of Vegas and even Navada (only 6 built world wide).

I didn't play, but wanted to see someone do the giant spin bonus. There were 4 people playing and it took a LONG time for that to hit.

I just got an email from Total Rewards with weekend nights at The Linq starting at $99. They "open" on October 30.

We like to play at the Quad. Good crew there.

The Dealertainers are very good. Also cutting through the Quad to get to Harrah's is handy.

I had gotten an offer from CET for the new Linq hotel. The rooms look very modern and clean. Can't wait until some other brave soul tries them out and reports back LOL

I received the same email, but why would anyone stay there for the price that when I can stay in a room that is actually nice? The rendering of the "remodeled" rooms at the Linq look like just a fresh coat of paint some new furniture and the same old in wall air unit. Not impressed, I could be wrong but I'll let someone else spend their money there first and let me know! :haha:

I am pretty intrigued by The Linq, more so than SLS for some reason...Definitely going to check it out!

I was comped a room there for Dec. 18-21. I was able to book it under The Quad through CET. I wound up with what was then called <snicker> a Love Tub room. I sort of imagine that these will now be Mini Suites in The Linq configuration?

I'm in a similar boat as you. Very find memories. It's too bad you didn't go a few years ago. The place stayed nearly the same for 30 years. Loved that about the casino.
