I got the free nite promo and will stay there next month. That being said I have stayed there previously when it was the South Coast and then when there was no resort fee. Will I want to stay there after this visit the jury is out. The resort fee is a pain but if it was what the Silver Sevens is ($3.00) it would be okay. Since the resort fee is what it is how about giving credits ($10-20 daily) for either food, drinks, shows and they could be used when you want doing your stay that would be great. Also throw in some FP ($10-20) with the same parameters as the credits. It would be nice if the rooms had a small fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The free shuttle to the airport could make maybe a stop near / on the strip. Would these changes help get a higher occupancy rate I think so. IMHO it's probably good I don't run a casino. Your thoughts are welcome.

We decided not to use our free nights from that contest. I have heard many great things about the place, but I would just feel too isolated there. Shuttles are a pain and we don't drive in Vegas because of :drunk:. I like to move around too much.

If you play video poker the pay schedules there will more than make up for a resort fee. The place is always packed and has plenty to do. It even has the forum favorite, boner deluxe, in full pay.

I just returned from a vegas trip and visited South Point. I really really loved the place and would maybe even stay there next time!

Lots of nice restaurants at South Point. It's pretty crowded there so I don't think they're looking to attract more people, I think they're looking to get more out of the people that are there. I'd stay there again. Especially for free.

I'm happily returning to South Point to use my free night late next month. We'll stay one night and hit the spots we like – Primarily Prime Rib for dinner, probably take my daughter bowling, relax in the pool, maybe play some bingo, better VP paytables, cheap breakfast buffet w/bloody marys included – before moving on for two nights on the Strip at Monte Carlo.

I haven't used the special...because we have stayed there the past 5 years and it is our favorite casino. We get comped rooms so it is all good. All I can tell you is that my daily bankroll can be gone in 2 hours on the strip and it lasts me all day at SouthPoint. Their restaurants are much more affordable than the strip also. I don't think they are hurting.

I know that it's a matter of taste...But do not count on the Bloody Marys being good. Or any where close to that.
They had a bunch already made up. If possible, try to order like at the bars, different type of mix.

When did they send the email out with the free night offer? I know I got a response from South Point but I cannot find it in my past emails? I think it was before Summer started but can't remember....

I got the email on March 20 and the free night had to be booked by June 1.
