Anybody for here going September 4-6?

The majority of my trips are solo, and I always have a great time. if you play table games you will meet people. If you frequent the same casino you may see them multiple times. earlier this month I met a group from Missouri and we played BJ 3 nights in a row. Have read other posts on the forum about solo trips, and I believe vegas chatter has a good article about solo trips...

I have never been alone for the full trip but one of the guys I go with usually will only go for two nights. I live on the East Coast so I won't go for less than 3, so I usually have at least a full day on my own. I have no problems with it. I even have a reservation for 1 for lunch at Giada's the day I get in next week.

2 of my 3 trips a year are solo. And. I. love. it.

Once you go solo, you will appreciate the "whenever-wherever" freedom.

And like so many have said, "you're never alone in Vegas".

Rent a friend...too funny and good idea. Problem is, that won't last long

I play the tables and I guess you are right there are plenty of friendly people. Just seems weird for me, rolling into Vegas alone. I've been going 3-4 times a year for 10 years and always had a wingman or wing woman. I would prefer to find the wing-woman though...

So I won't get laughed at being alone? (J/K)

Took two solo trips, once at NYNY, the other at MB. Loved both.

Isn’t that what you’re paying for? You don’t want them to hang around!

My first solo experience in Vegas was just one night. I found a ridiculously cheap flight the night before the rest of my crew was arriving so I said, “what the hell”. Since then, I’d estimate that more than half of my Vegas trips have been the solo variety.

I’m not sure I’d say that solo trips are “better” than traveling with friends/family/significant others, but they’re definitely worth taking. You’ll be fine. Enjoy!

You people are the best! I will go alone. September 4-6th. Now the struggle is to figure out where to stay knowing I will be solo. Originally thinking MGM or MB but I love the TI. But the TI pool is a little small since I'm solo. Thinking a bigger pool may be better for me.

Any thoughts from my fellow solo Vegas travelers on where to stay?

I like both types of Vegas trips. In early September I'm looking at a cheap downtown trip. In late October, possibly Halloween, I'm going with a friend. I do have a friend who lives in Vegas so I'll probably have dinner with him in September. When I played poker more I would have people to talk to at the tables, but I'm more VP now so I don't have as many conversations with strangers. But I still like the mix. Solo is more gambling, with a friend is more doing things.

I went alone a few months ago, and it was nice not having to coordinate or wait for others to decide
and I've had hookers hit on me in front of my wife at Cosmo! so that's not a factor really

    anywhere!
I love downtown and usually stay at the D. most of my solo trips are work related so I will stay where I'm supposed to for work, but (almost) every night I'll go to the D and GG.

Solo at either of those places is great. Friendly dealers and always a party downtown.

I would have no problem going alone, but there's no way my wife would let me.
