Adding a person to your Total Rewards

I have my Platinum Total Rewards account and my girlfriend is heading to Atlantic City for vacation next month. Is it possible to add her name to my TR account and share the cards so that she can get credit for her play? We're basically trying to "share" an account and maximize our TCs and RCs. Thanks.

 

I know you can add a "companion total rewards account onto yours", but I'm not sure about adding another persons name and have one account. Regardless, why don't you simply giver her one of your cards to play on?

 

To be nefarious, I was hoping to give her one card and her grandfather another (family vacation gimmick) and truly maximize my points. Wouldn't it seem a bit odd that I'm playing two machines and I'm not even in the state? Haha.

My wife and I both play her card all the time. They are cool with it at the machines but have a problem with it at the tables. In order to push my wife over into Platinum, we handed out 2 more cards to friends to get her the extra credits she needed.

 

As others have said, No, you cannot add anybody else to your TR account or card. Without you they can't use your account or card at check-in or use your platinum benefits. They can however play with your card in a machine (probably not tables) and earn you points. I've never heard any instance of TR caring about using it at multiple machines or even at other destinations. The only thing I might be wary of would be using it in two different cities at the exact same time. I've not heard anybody confirm or deny that doing this would be a problem but much like using it at at table I'd wager that it would be much more noticeable.

FYI, whenever TR does their promotions where you get points/benefits for the number or different TR casinos you visit around the country, there are always folks who get together and ship their TR cards back and forth in order to play each others cards at casinos they aren't able to get to.

What if you hit a hand pay with someone else's card lol

 

No worries. They come and get your DL info and all just like any other win. I'd just take the card out as soon as you see its going to be a hand pay. Hand pay (and resulting tax forms) go to the person sitting at the machine, not who's card is in it.
