When I play table games, I tend to shy away from empty tables. I like social tables, as that's part of the reason I'm at the casino vs playing online. However, I am now rethinking this....

Over the last month, I've played Mississippi Stud solo with the dealer 3 times at different locations.... and all three times I've turned my $100 buy-in into a Barney Chip....last night, at Firekeepers, I hit the 3 Card Bonus with $10 up and the community cards showing the 6, 4 and 5 of diamonds! 40-1 is AWESOME!

Are there any games that you prefer to go one on one with the dealer? Games you never :nono: go one on one?

I'd be interested to hear thoughts...I realize this is a matter of riding a streak for me, what about you?

I like one on one blackjack. I'll never play craps at a table alone.

I'm not that social and love empty BJ tables. I guess the degenerate in me loves the faster action, plus I don't have to worry about stupid tourists who don't have a clue how to play correct strategy

I have learned my lesson many times on multiple games not to play solo. It may not actually matter much but at least if I'm losing I lose slower if there's more people playing!

I will play solo craps, blackjack and roulette...

However the solo craps will end quick if I am not shooting well. Nothing will wipe out a bankroll than being the only shooter on an icy table. I lost $1600 in about ten minutes once. So I will pull the plug pretty quick.

I like to play Roulette solo more spins more wins! Paigow poker is a game where I like to play with others.

I prefer blackjack with no more than 2 other players. I have no problem at all playing head-to-head. Problem is, within 4 or 5 hands of playing solo-blackjack, the table suddenly becomes popular & fills up...I guess because so many folks won't play an empty table, but if I'm there, they're perfectly comfortable jumping in.

I hate playing 3-card solo. Seems like everytime I do, the dealer pulls killer hands that somebody (me or another player, depending on where we're sitting) should have been getting instead!

I love UTH & I'd be willing to play solo, but to be honest, I've never seen an open, empty table. Ever.

As for craps? Nope. Won't ever play alone.

I prefer not to play BJ one on one but will do it if it is the only table available or if I am at a table and everyone else leaves I will still play solo. I will never play craps by myself.

As to be expected, I have easily had my best and worst sessions of BJ at an empty table. I am always reticent to sit at a busy table, because I hate to "shoehorn" in between people and then feel cramped; I also don't want to be next to someone who is blowing cigar or cigarette smoke right at me. I also fear other people who play erratically. Having said that, I generally prefer at least 1 other person at a table, just to slow things down a bit and maybe have someone to talk to.
I actually am one of those odd people who prefers an empty craps table, because I enjoy having the dice in my hand and not worrying about people at the other end throwing money or chips down as I'm throwing the dice. No, I don't think I can influence the dice, but I am superstitious about people sticking their hands in my field of play.
Pai Gow is way too boring of a game to play alone. I've done it, and it just felt very depressing and degenerate.
I don't play any of the carney games, so I can't speak to those.

Thanks everyone for the replies...next casino trip I might try a bit more solo action just to see what happens. Obviously, the dealer makes a ton of difference, too...,the more fun they are, and if you're winning, then all the better.

I've never tried craps alone...that sounds scary, as a reflection of my lack of dice throwing confidence.

Whether a packed table or solo, good luck!

I only play BJ and craps (and VP, but that doesn't really count).

I very much prefer to play BJ solo, or with my friends/family. While I enjoy a full table of fun, friendly players, that seldom happens. Let's face it, most people are just terrible. They whine and complain, act as if that last $100 they lost is going to ruin them, abuse the dealer or other players who they feel make the "wrong" play (which is often the correct play) or are just plain Dbags in general.

I'll play craps alone. And I usually enjoy it. But as folks have mentioned, that's a recipe for disaster if the dice aren't falling your way. I'd much rather get on a half full table if I can - a little elbow room, but still enough people to slow things down a bit.

I like playing Pai Gow solo as you can bank every other hand without worrying about what others are betting. Blackjack is best with a couple people at the table. Craps I will only play on a full table.

After a few trips playing BJ with other people at the table, I tried one on one, and love it. The only problem is within 5-10 minutes someone else sits down.

I had a dealer at the D that I was tipping good, she was on turbo speed, sometimes not even waiting for me to signal. And some hands I think I pushed or lost and got paid. But then someone sat down and ruined the streak.

I prefer a crowded and friendly table. I will sometimes play BJ, three card poker, or let it ride alone, but when I'm playing alone I'm usually in degenerate mode and chasing losses.

Craps is nothing without other players. I'll play BJ alone but prefer a full table.

One on One with the Dealer....what games do you play?

None!!! Every time I sit at a BJ table with others, then they decide to bail and leave me alone with the dealer, I lose my ass!
Same goes for roulette. I will never play any casino game solo with the dealer. I'm not that lucky! :grrr:

I used to hate playing BJ solo but this last trip I was constantly finding all full tables and one empty table. Kept sitting at the empty tables and turned out I like the flow better. And i won handsomely.
