I'm curious about the types of comps other craps players get and their level of play. I am a $100/roll player, average around 4 hours per day, my offers are:

    MGM - 3 nights, $200 r/c, 2 KA
    MB - 3 nights(Delano as well), $200 r/c, Spa Access for 2
V/P - 3 nights, $75 match play, +other(different every time, best was 2 Panda tickets)

I am very pleased with my offers, but always love to check out new hotels. Would like to see other crap players offers to help me decide where to play some dice.

That's very good. I calculate that you're generating a little over $200 a day in comps. Based on that, these are decent offers. I have never heard of any one hotel being better than the others when it comes to craps comps. Personally, I would jump on the MGM offer

Very similar to what I get from MB for about the same play at blackjack (assuming the $100 doesn't contain any odds).

What exactly do you bet in craps? According to some here, different casinos evaluate craps differently. If you're playing pure passline/odds, maybe a casino that rates odds would be better.

    You're betting $100 total a roll?

I usually play $10 craps...pass line with full odds and I do two come bets full odds, $10 hard 6 and hard 8 and usually 5 each for the dealers.....I never even get looked at when playing craps

    So anywhere from $150-$190/roll

My standard bet is $10 pass, full odds, $10 come full odds, occasional $30 place on 8. Idk the exact time, but if guess 4-6 hours a day over five days. Obviously if it's hot, I'll ramp up additional come bets. In the most recent round of offers I get 2 nights at most MGM properties except aria and Bellagio. Reduced rates + resort credits there. Most of the play was done at Monte Carlo.

My last trip is when I really upped my dice play. This was SB weekend and I was rated at $200 per hand combined craps and blackjack. I'm now comfortable on $15/$25 tables and will play pass + full odds each roll. My place bets will vary as I usually start out slow with placing three inside numbers. I also bet hardways and a horn-hi-yo-dealer-yo on every come out. However I am pretty aggressive and I will end up going all the way across fairly quick either chasing or pressing because we have good rollers. When I go across I start at $78/81 or $130/$135.

I tip pretty heavily too (dealers across for 1-2 per number) every couple of shooters...

I stayed at V/P and since then have been getting tons of mailers a week and an e-mail from a host (or quasi-host aka marketing rep) who booked me for three nights in Sept with some food and free play.

I haven't given CET or MLife this play yet but will be hitting Mirage in Sept to establish some time there.

I will also play $50-200 blackjack.

My palazzo rating is about $400 / roll, and they offer me free nights, $300 in food and beverage, and $700 in free bet chips. They usually have picked up additional food bills at the end of the trip as well.

MGM only gives me free rooms. That's it. The last and only time I stayed there I had a winning session, and they refused to pick up anything beyond the room charge and the express comps.

Cet gives me free rooms and from $500-1000 in free play.

Cosmo gives me free rooms and $700-1000 in free bet chips. They are also good about picking up much of the food bill afterwards as well.

I also tip well and ask the pit boss about my rating as I'm coloring up, and they sometimes will round my average bet up when the crew thanks me for the tips...

I believe cet counts all money on the table including the odds.

Mlife does not count your odds in your bet or doey/ dont, they will only count the difference.

Not to hijack but to seek clarification--when you say 100 $ per roll do you mean the amount of money on the table when the dreaded devil has jumped? Example; 10 $ pass line with 30 $ odds and a come bet for the same. Are you saying that is 80 $ per roll?

How about placing the 6 & 8 for 30 $ and bumping up a unit every other hit. Eventually each has 48 $ when 7 rears its ugly head. Is that 96 $ per roll? Or just the original 60 $ I risked?

    Thanks.....

This will depend on where you play.

Some places will only rate the pass and come bets, but not the odds, so in your first example, at the palazzo or mgm for example, you would be rated at $20 per roll. Caesars will rate you at $80 a roll, but the comp % is likely a lot lower.

In your second example, it is likely that they will rate you at $60 a roll, unless you ask politely. They tend to watch how much you bet on your first couple rolls and put that into the computer and forget it. Unless you bet really big, they're not going to pay attention to how much you press and adjust your rating unless you ask them before you leave.

Not true! Aria does count doey/don't but not odds. Unless this has changed since I was there last one month ago.

I honestly don't understand why combination do/don't bets would not be rated. The fact that one player is playing birth does not change the house edge, it just lowers variance.

These are unbelievable comps at your level. I would jump on any of them. The V/P seems particularly generous considering the cost of their rooms. If you like the resort dollars more, go for the MGM. Highly doubtful you'll be getting anything comp'd on the backend.

I remember when I was rated at $150/roll at Venetian several years ago (I've since stopped playing there because I don't like the casino), I asked for an additional comp'd night and the host told me I had to be rated at $250/roll to qualify for a comp'd night. With that in mind, $100/roll is a significant reduction in play from what they used to require.

The house edge does change when the bet is made by the same person at the same amount, they cancel each other out. The only edge the house holds is on the 12 on the come out roll which the person will bet as well more than likely. So if i cover the 12 on the come out roll and put 2k pass, 2k dont. I am only risking whatever is on the 12.

House edge betting the do is 1.4
House edge betting the dont is 1.3

House edge on doey dont is 2.76, or the odds of rolling a 12. 1/36

Its no different if i play roulette and play red and black for 2k and then sprinkle the single zero for 65- 70

Sorry to divert the thread, what in the world is a doey/don't bet in craps? I'm sure it's a noob question.

Betting both the pass and the do not pass at the same time in craps.

Interesting. I'm sure there is a reason, but how in the world is that a smart bet? I only started playing craps couple years ago and I'm getting addicted. I've only played pass with odds, place bets and occasional hardways when someone is on a roll but I see so many different types of bets referenced on this board and it certainly helps explain some of the bets I never understood at the tables.

    Pass odds edge is 1.4%
    Dont pass edge is 1.36%
So you are doubling your chance of loss. They usually are civering the 12 on the come out roll and then playing a progression after that of 2 pass, 4 dont pass with odds or something like that. As i have learned, the lowest house esge in craps is pass or dont pass with full odds. Texhnically it is dont pass with full odds but you have to have a larger bankroll to play that way so most play with the crowd and pkay the pass. The difference is very small
