I completely agree with you... I'm a HHAGG fan as well. However, the history of discussions about any of their locations indicates a wide range of opinions... many don't share ours.

 

Wow. I went with a group of 5 and we were all impressed. Especially their BLT Mary. The service was excellent as well.

 

2 times I went I was well satisfied.

 

I'll give them another try, but my experience with the food was mediocre, huge portions.
I really disliked the Bloody Mary and will pass on ordering again.

 

Went to the one downtown. Had the chicken benedict thingy. It was HUGE! I was so hungover i could only finish a quarter of it. Tasted great and the quality seems to be high above average. Chicken was great!

 

Where downtown is it? Speaking of downtown; Magnolias is amazing.

 

It's downtown in The Plaza, right when you come in the main doors. We have eaten there and at the one in The Quad. Our service at the one in The Plaza was absolutely amazing. We had a male waiter and he was great. Of course, we made sure he knew how much we appreciated his service with the tip that we left.

 

Just an FYI - the coupon is good for dinner only, Monday thru Friday. Nice that they do that but no good for us since we only go for breakfast.

 

I believe that they do have a few breakfast items on the dinner menu as well, just not very many.

Awesome, the Hash House in the Quad is a must stop every time I go to Vegas.

 

I like HHAGG but won't eat there by myself. In a group I would only eat there if I could split a plate with someone. The portions are too big for me, I would waste a lot of my meal (esp breakfast) and the prices are a little higher than I would want to pay for dumping a third of my plate. I wish they would have a "senior" or "mini" plates that are more my size and what I would rather spend. I asked the receptionist about it, she said that others have asked but management hasn't been very receptive about the request. I told her too bad, she lost my business.

It is so surprising, I remember going to buffets (in my 20's and 30's) and filling up one or more plates to the brim and eating it all. Now in my 50's I can't do that anymore (maybe my stomach shrank?) and I wonder in amazement how I ever was able to do that.

My husband insists we go to Magnolia's as soon as we get to Vegas, and at least 1 or 2 more times during the trip. We love eating our meal looking out over the casino.

 

Great breakfast restaurant. I go to the original on Sahara. Huge portions and unique food.

 

I went TWICE during my trip last week. Fantastic place! Fun to see peoples' faces when their order comes out! Some food is literally 'stacked' on platters! Sharing an order is no problem here. You will still leave satisfied. It has now become one of my 'new' LasVegas traditions!

 

Majorly disappointed, sorry!

Same experience here. Friends saw it on Rachel Ray and had to try it when they came to visit. Yes, big portions, but also big prices and mediocre food.
