So I'm looking at getting set up with fast break to skip the line at the McCarrin airport.

However, it appears that on my first rental I will need to stop at the counter anyway - which negates some value for me.

    is there anyway around that?

Is it maybe something you can go to your local budget car rental to sign up and set everything up there first, before you go to Las Vegas?

Budget's term are rather confusing. I was able to join and skip the counter upstairs and go to the counter downstairs. Not sure if it saved me any time, neither counter had a long line.

The first time we used budget we signed up for fastbreak and went straight downstairs. Well worth it as the line upstairs was pretty long.

Who is saying that ? I don't think so. If you have a Fast break account , your all set to go, skipping the regular counter, even at your first rental.

Its probably to verify Driver License info. I would stop at the Fast Break kiosk downstairs. It would only take a couple of minutes.
