So some background...I haven't been to Vegas in about 3-4 years and in the few years leading up to my last visit, I had played pretty much only at Red Rock with an occasional trip to MB or MGM sprinkled in. I liked the atmosphere at both RR and MGM, MB not so much. MGM was always busy, Red Rock not always, but the feeling of the room was always warm and inviting. MB's room was usually pretty dead and all of the white and beige was boring, bland, and cold, especially since it was so dead in there. At least with MGM the action was there so the surroundings weren't noticed as much! Now I'm returning to Vegas to coincide with the Barrett Jackson September sale and am looking to return to the Strip. I play midi with a starting wager of $250 and go from there. Which HL rooms would provide a combination of a nice room, social players (I'll be the token non-Asian at the table), good action, and decent comps. I had Aria, CP, and Mirage in mind but figured I'd ask those in the know for recommendations.

In the past, I had always gone with wiring money to the cage, however I think I'm going to go the credit route for a few reasons. Relative to your LOC, what multiple of cash do casinos like to see in the bank? I'm assuming it's a multiple of some sort. Just trying to plan for when they pull average X balances.

I would recommend Aria or Bellagio at $250 min. You can usually find a $100-200 min table. Cosmo is not lively ($300 in HL room and $500 in Talon room). Palazzo ($300 min) was okay, but Venetian is more lively. Wynn is a hit or miss; HL room $500 min, but you can ask them to reduce it to $300 min.

Aria and Bellagio seem to be the most social. V/P was relatively social. I heard CP was a social place to play also, but never played there myself.

The best casino for comps would be Bellagio from my list above. Aria has been stingy with comps when I use to play there in the past. At that level, you will probably receive the most future corporate offers from cosmo; they are desperate.

I would consider Bellagio or Wynn. I really like Aria, but the Bellagio and Wynn HL rooms are a bit busier and, thus, more social. Plus they are not as large as Aria, giving them the feel or more activity packed into a smaller area. I haven't stayed at Mirage recently enough to comment. And I get better comps from mgm hotels than I do CP.

As for the LOC, there are many threads on this board already addressing the subject, but my memory is that the casinos want to see 2 to 3 times the requested line in the account. plus, they will check your average balance for anywhere between 3 to 6 months prior. So don't fill up the account the day before they check

Yeah, I thought I had read that it was nickles and higher at Wynn for midi, so that's why I hadn't even factored them into the mix. I don't like playing mini. I honestly had forgotten about Bellagio but might have to give them consideration.

As for the LOC, I knew not to move cash right before. Since the trip is in a couple of months I figured I had better move some cash into the applicable accounts since checking and not savings is typically used.

One last thing, I remember a few years ago hearing that instead of hours that some properties were using shoes played to be an hours equivalent. Is that going on now? I could understand it to fight against those that milk the clock.

I still think the best place to Play MIDI Baccarat is Caesar's Palace. I"m mad at CET for something that did not happen in VEGAS but will have to see.

Caesar's has the best Dealers and will let you bet late and offer free hands and will always check to see if you want to bet.

Aria and Wynn are the next best ones from my past visits but I have not done good there. I've done good at Bellagio but only get standard rooms. MGM Grand and Aria is really pushing to get me back with some CRAZY offers for Sky suites and Sky Lofts.

I asked the same question a few days back. I"m going to stay at Cosmopolitan and Caesar's because I have a Service Dog and they are the only two that is PET Friendly.

I'm going to play at Cosmopolitan and Wynn and Bellagio and my try Aria and MGM but have not done good at the last two.

I am one of the many Asian players so I blend in well in HL Baccarat. There are lots of non asian at Caesar's, Wynn Aria, and MGM.

Have you notice that Venetian and Palazzo is not getting any LOVE on VMB? I have stop going there since the last few times I drop in the HL room was empty. I mean so is the Talon room but the people at Cosmo is a lot more friendly than the dealers at Venetian/Palazzo.

i dont support anything sheldon does thats just my choice to do with my money, but his 6/5 and other thing surely doesnt win over any new poeple

i understand about going on losing streaks at places but realy liking them im going thru that right now , im thinking of bring in a psychic to chase away the bad vibes.

im not a big bac player as its a guessing game, but ill playing for fun once in a while and did like the aria hl room and my host does realy good for there on descretionary comps so its a plus

Yes 1 shoe equals 1 hour. Some trips I'll play for 10-14 hours and get rated for 7 hours.

Bellagio will rate by the shoe, but Caesars rates by time according to the pit boss.
